This was a great workshop fan while it lasted. My husband used this fan in our basement workshop for just over a year (end of March 2014 until July 2015). It was exactly what he need to clear his work area of airborne particulate from sanding and cutting wood. It was powerful enough to create enough pressure difference to keep sawdust from spreading beyond the work area. In fact he would have to open the door to the shop so that the fan did not have to work too hard. And then it quit. It just simply quit working. Plugs, outlets, switch, everything that was user accessible was checked. There was nothing visible that would explain why the fan stopped working. So, bottom line, if you want a really great fan with lots of power that works exactly right for a little over a year, and then have use for a really large and bulky paper weight, then this is the fan for you.
