Great Preamp

It was time to retire my late 1980s era receiver. It had served me well, but I was no longer using all of the inputs nor the FM & AM tuner section. I was only using it as a preamp to send turntable audio to my computer for archiving my albums. A better way had to be found, why continue to use all the electricity to power up a 150 watt per channel amplifier just for the preamp section?
I decided to downsize and simplify by using a preamp only. I watched a few youtube videos and decided on the Pyle PP999. I am not let down by it, and I should have tried one long ago. It works well with any turntable, and it delivers the pure, clean, clear sound you desire from your turntable.
I can wholeheartedly recommend the PYLE PP999 Preamp.

but it worked beautifully right out of the box

I wasn't sure this would work for my application, but it worked beautifully right out of the box. I have a vintage HH Scott stereo amplifier and wanted to add music streaming to it via a simple Bluetooth receiver. When I connect that up, I found the receiver's output to be to low in voltage. By inserting the Pyle preamp between the receiver and the Scott amplifier, the resulting signal input to the amplifier was up to line level and the music played through this Bluetooth connection is clear and full fidelity. The Pyle preamp is a great little product at a very reasonable price.
Saved my stereo

I bought this to connect a vintage Sony direct drive tt to a cheap bookshelf unit in our bedroom. My boyfriend wanted to ditch the large component system to save space, but after researching suitcase players and realizing how unreliable they seem to be, I felt reluctant to downgrade *that* far. I was also hesitant to pour too much into connecting to our bookshelf system, as it's likely not long for this world, either. I took a chance on this little preamp because the reviews were good, and the price couldn't be beat. Admittedly, I was expecting this to be a case of "too good to be true", but even with the cheapo bookshelf system, there is no hiss or buzz. I also added two additional speakers at the same time, but initially checked the preamp using the system's lackluster native speakers; the sound was more than decent, so I'm impressed. My only "complaint" is the ground connection has a flat washer, not the serrated type for older systems with a bare wire. It's a minor critique, but considering there's probably a decent chance you're using a preamp because you're connecting a vintage component, it would be nice to have the option to sub that piece in, right out of the box. The RCA ports are also a little close to the overhanging lip of the upper casing, so chunkier connectors may face a tighter fit, as is the case with my particular unit, (which my dad thinks he bought around '77, for reference.) Again, a minor note, but worth considering, depending on your particular needs. All told, we're very happy with the performance, so far.
Amazing little box! Recommend

With proper grounding, this little preamp box has almost NO hum. Brought my records back to life :) turntable sounded tinny and quiet and this really helps counteract the RIAA curve nicely, and now my records sound the way the artist intended. A plus of it being so compact is that it looks great while taking up around 2x4 inches of space:) really recommend this product instead of spending insane amounts of cash on something that does essentially the same thing.
Good product, low price-high quality

This is a really cheap and quality item. Lets do this step by step:
1. Sound is really nice, high and clear and it does not produce anu hiss sounds if grounded
2. It is really compact and easy to use, comes with ac adapter but for the people living in Europe replacement ac adapter will be essential that works on 220v input and produces 12v output. Ac adapters are really cheap and can be found here on amazon or anywhere in the electronic store
3. It does not come with the rca caple so you will need to get one to hook these up on a receiver or directly to the active speakers
4. Some people say that you can not hook these up directly on speakers from turntable and that is a wrong thought - if you have active speakers, meaning speakers which have integrated amplifoers and unbalanced rca input you will hook this up directly to them, if your speakers are not active you will need a receiver in this case
5. I have stanton t52 belt drive turntable and this pre amp works fine, produces high sound, clears hiss when grounded. I use krk rockit 5 g3 active apeakers in an average sized room and maximum volume using this pre amp is so high that i cant stand it but at the same time its clear and quality.
Overall this is a really cheap and good solition for the person who hust wants to listen to his or her vinyl collection and get quality sound (for studio or other recording purposes you may search for other amps). If you want to use pre amp not for recording or other music producing purposes on an expert level than dont spend money on a pre amps costing USD50, this one will be a perfect solution for you!
just see in customer images, I uploaded 3 pictures of what type of ac adapter to use plus good quality RCA cable example (try not to use cheap cables to avoid sound distortion) and picture of full setup. works smoothly
