I used this to install a more modern head unit into my 1999 Chrysler 300m. Much nicer to do the work out of the car rather than cutting off factory connectors and splicing wiring inside. I did have to move one pin. The dimmer line was one slot off, obvious when I held this harness next to the factory connector. Easy enough to deal with. Pins can be moved by sliding a small blue bar on this harness connector forward, slipping the pin from one slot to the next, then replacing the bar to lock the pins back in place. This harness would still have worked without modification if I hadn't noticed or compared wiring diagrams. All I would have lost would have been dimmer control from the car lighting system.
A little more documentation would go a long way. Smaller wires.

Would of been a bit easier if they had added a little more information with it. I highly suggest you get a wiring diagram of your vehicle before you jump in to rewiring your stereo. This did indeed plug right into my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 (no power antenna). Wires are a little smaller gauge then what was in the truck. So might be worth it to spend a few extra $$ on a better harness. I soldered and shrink wrapped all the connections.

Side Note: DO NOT THROW THE PLASTIC BAG AWAY. It has a wiring diagram on the back.
Wires not labeled at all.

If you know what each wire is connected to then this is OK. If you don't then you are out of luck because this harness's wires are not labeled in any way. You don't know which ones are for power and which ones are for the speakers. very lazy on the manufacturers part. I mean if you know which connector and wires to use then stick a label on the wire just like the harnesses on the new radios you can buy nowadays does. It's not rocket science people.
Nice product, great price

Bought a JVC aftermarket bluetooth/disc player to replace the original equipment in my '01 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and got this wire harness conversion kit based on price and reviews. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. This comes with a color-code chart for easy installation. Just snip and strip the old wires, splice them to the new harness with crimp connectors, plug the ends together, and voila, you're wired for sound. It doesn't get any easier.
Worked flawlessly

I got this for a '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It actually perfectly matched the radio deck's wiring harness. I got a wiring diagram for it, but I didn't even need it. It's been installed for about 3 days now, still holding the connection nicely. It perfectly matched the female ends of the factory wiring harness, I was initially concerned because I have the Infinity system, but it was never a problem. If you're putting a new radio in your Jeep, and want to keep the original factory harness intact, get this, it's worth it for the convenience alone.

Note: If you have a Jeep with the Infinity system, make sure to connect the blue/white striped wire on the radio deck to the blue wire on this adapter harness (to power the amp), otherwise you'll have no sound.
