This scope is great. I bought it for general purpose and so far only for looking at the moon. Great timing on its arrival I caught the super moon last night and the super blue blood early this morning! I agree there is a small amount of blue haze at 60x when looking at the moon in full brightness but it's not much and if you care that much you shouldn't be buying this one. Easy to use, easy to focus and sets up easy on my manfrotto tripod. Below are pics of the super moon, blood from eye and blood through scope. I had a hard time getting the image to center on my phone but I was doing it by hand without the add on piece. Great buy.
good for close range but not for anything outside 1/2 mile.

I bought this spotting scope for Mule deer and Elk Hunting. The clarity is great until i have to zoom in on something over 700 Yards. I thought buying the 60X80 I would be able to zoom in on a buck or Bull and get a good idea of what he was... From what I have noticed along with others that have tried using this spotting scope is that the zooming in is unusable.
It seems well built and easy to use other than the zoom/focus issue

The problem is that as you change the zoom it goes out of focus. You have to refocus while zooming. Also it seems that the label with the zoom magnification seems to have fallen off so now we can't find what zoom level we are at. It seems well built and easy to use other than the zoom/focus issue. Nice sharp images. Nice carrying bag is awkward to use the scope inside the bag with the ends open for a rainy day as the focus is not accessible.

Gave it to my husband for Christmas. He cannot wait to use it while hunting.
Disappointed

I am pretty experienced with many scopes for astronomy and wildlife; I have expensive and cheap ones, and usually know what to expect when I buy optics. I bought this because I needed a relatively inexpensive scope to take camping and in situations where it could be damaged or stolen. Overall, I am unhappy with the optical quality. The large objective makes a very bright image this is great and why I picked it. It seems fairly rugged for the price. However, I find that it is only useful at the very lowest 20X magnification. At that magnification, the images are pretty good. However, the decrease in quality with increased magnification is very rapid. It is not unusual for sharpness to degrade with magnification, but on this scope the degradation is dramatic. It also suffers from significant color fringing (chromatic aberration) that also, rapidly degrades with increased magnification. The focus control is quite coarse, so it is difficult to get a perfect focus. Another disappointment is the "eye relief". This is the distance the eye must be from the eyepiece. On this scope, it is hard to see the whole field of view with glasses. So, I recommend if you need need a bright image, but only at low magnifications. It is a very poor performer for looking at the moon or planets, also. I haven't checked it out on the shooting range, it might work out a little better there.
