Great piece. We used this to record voice-over work for videos we had constructed for our HR Department Meetings. As someone who used to be in the recording industry, this works great for the price. Mutes out background noise and keeps the tone focused.

Look, dont be fooled into spending more money on expensive pop filters. Just buy this one and if you need a more aggressive filter, get a 1 dollar pantyhose and wrap it over the rim. If you want it to look nice for a video, you can always disassemble it and frame the pantyhose properly, then cut what remains.

I would improve the clamp that holds it against the table, but this is not a big deal. You can use a piece of cardboard or foam to help secure it in place.

Nice and affordable, gets the job done. However, the neck is VERY flimsy. I find myself spending an unnecessary amount of time adjusting the filter before I can begin recording. Not sure if it's a defect but it's rather annoying. I've had it since 2012, but it's been unstable since day one when I purchased it. Other than that, it's not a bad product.

Being new to the audio equipment scene made it difficult to know what was good or bad. There were many different types of filters to consider (styles, shapes, sizes, etc.). I had used this for about 2-3 years and felt like I was more than an amateur having this accessory assist with my video recording quality.

Pros:
The nylon on the filter is double-wide, meaning that each side has a layer of the filter. The space between the nylon is the same as that of the thickness of the ring (about an inch).
The neck itself felt like really proper material. Nothing was going to break in half or detach from the filter or the metal plate.

Cons:
The base of the filter that screws onto the desk/pole/etc. didn't feel like it held too firmly. The round plastic it pushes in has a bit of grooves, but wasn't textured in a way that made me confident it wouldn't slide down.
The neck didn't hold its shape as firmly as I had hoped. Bending it too much would have it fight back and not keep as tight of a curve as I needed. This lead to some strange positions to get it in front of my microphone.

I'm pretty disappointed with this pop filter, but I guess I got what I paid for. The gooseneck doesn't stand in place unless you get lucky or spend 15 minutes moving it around until you find the right spot. Once in the right spot, you better not move it or bump the table. Since my mic is on an arm and I move it out of my way when I don't use it, it means I have to fix the pop filter every single time I use my mic.

The clamp is also quite awkward to work with, and the filter itself started getting a few small rips soon after I got it. Probably from having to fiddle with the thing 15 minutes trying to make it stay in place. I actually don't even use it anymore...I ended up getting the Rode NTWS and it's much less of a hassle.
