it works great. In the heat of the summer
Kyle Bonorden•May 13, 2017
The temperature range it holds is wide....about 6 degrees. But, besides that, it works great. In the heat of the summer, I can ferment cabbage in it at a comfortable 60-70 degree range.

Woks great, saves a bunch of power definitely as well as stay on point. Most of the time when I look over at it the freezer is off. It is closed most of the time so of course that helps but its just fantastic that I barely see the appliance on. When opening and moving around items I do not notice the freezer go on, which is also a great feature of it. The probe is easy to hang int he freezer so its not touching anything and enough coil was given so that the probe can be a significant distance away from the actual controller.
Yep, it works.

I turned a stand up freezer into a beer fridge with this bad boy. It's awesome. I drilled a hole in the side and ran the bulb through it. Plug the freezer into this and then plug this into the outlet. Easy. I put a thermometer in there and tune it accordingly. I will say though that when you turn a freezer into a fridge it makes a lot of condensation inside for some reason. I'm sure someone smart about ACs could explain but if it's happened to both my brother's and mine.
It's been useful.

I've been using this for the longest of my temp controllers. I like it but its an analog so I don't trust it as much as my digital for accuracy. To use I have to dial the setting to the near temp which may be about 5-8 degrees off. So whatever the setting says on the dial the freezer may kick on anywhere in that 5-8 degree range. I like it but I will probably go with another digital one that costs much less and more accurate. Giving it 4 stars because I knew it was analog but I didn't know the variance was so great.
Horrible job at regulating temperatures
terzaghi•February 24, 2016
My unit may be defective, but it did not regulate temperatures in my 5 cf keezer at all. I had to set the unit to 20 degrees, and keep at the TOP of the keezer by the lid (near the top of the 10 inch color), just to get drinkable beer temps. Placing lower in keezer lead to warm beer. One day it froze the bottom of my kegs. I had it rigged up to work for me, but after a year I gave up and bought the ink bird controller. I only wish I sent this unit back after I purchased rather than waiting a year and "making it work". Not recommended at all.
