With one adult dog and one puppy, we've been using two different containers to store two different dog food. Now that the puppy has transitioned to adult food I decided I wanted to get something different to store a large amount of the one type of food they both eat now. I had seen these elsewhere and it took a bit of searching to find the one that would work best for me, but I'm happy with the product. We've been using it for about a month now. I really like the way the lid closes and yet can easily be opened/closed with one hand because the "handles" are large and provide good leverage. The container is very sturdy - I see no reason to think this won't last many years.

This container is great! It's biggest downfall is that sometimes it can be hard to fill but I'm pretty confident that is user error vs design flaw.
I have 4 of these containers (I have 4 dogs) and they have managed to keep all the dogs out. One of my dogs suffers from separation anxiety and has broken into nearly every other food container when I'm not home and had her own personal feast. Not this time dog. Not. this. time.
The lids lock in and screw tight (and open) easily. They stack which keeps them out of the way. They're not hideous. You and write on them with sharpie (so far it hasn't easily wiped off) to ID each dog's food.
The little measuring scoop/cup that comes with has no actual measurement guides on it. When I compared it to my vet scoop that is measured it was about 1.5cups of my dogs food (which can mean very little to you other than double check how much you're feeding now and where it sits in the Vittles Vault scoop before you jump the gun and start over feeding your pup!)

The best thing since sliced bread. I looked at storage unit at a retail store and it was flimsy and cost more. This unit is clearly made of a heavy plastic that is meant to be used for years to come. There is a good tight seal to keep out anything. Top spins on and off with ease. It takes two full rotations of top to unscrew. I found a simple way to know when top is tightened enough and where to line up top to reinstall. Mark one of spokes of the lid with a dot. I marked the one in the "2 o'clock" position to show it is tightened enough. You can spin a little more but makes it hard to loosen the next time used. When putting the lid back on position the dot at the "8 o'clock" position and the top screws right on. Before I found to use the dot I had a hard time finding where to position top to match the threads up. Great value

I have had a dog get into a plastic container and eat himself sick twice. This container is great. I also bought the 40lb to hold the bulk of the 40lb bag in the garage and this one fits under the kitchen cabinet nicely. Kind of pricey but no edges for a dog to get their teeth in and gnaw away at. I have 2 of these since I have some dogs on senior food and the young one on adult. My only complaint is one came with a slightly stretched rubber gasket that falls off sometimes. No I havent emailed the company to see if they would send me one its not that bad and still seals well.

An adorable mouse took a liking to our dog's food so we had to purchase this impenetrable fortress. The middle of the lid has a small silver dollar sized circular white board sticker to write pets name and food instructions - very convenient. While heavy when full, we appreciate that the sides are in-cut making it easier for us to move around. Which currently, we are doing a lot of because I read the dimensions wrong so this does not fit in our home where should, however that was user error and I will be able to raise the shelf with some extra wood so it did not affect my star rating. Have had no problems with the lid screwing on weird or slipping once tight, only time will tell. I can see why there may be issues with spillage depending on its orientation when you fill it, as the lowest part of the goose neck opening falls closer to the middle than the top if you are using it as pictured. We filled this with 40 lbs while it was straight up and down and then rest it on its side as shown to (one day) tuck in our pantry with no spillage issues upon opening.
