I took delivery of my Lift-Mate yesterday. I ordered it on Friday the 9th of February and it arrived on the 20th. Amazon stated it would arrive on Monday the 12th with no-rush delivery, so I figured I was fine, but that was totally wrong. My trip left the 14th and I thought two days was enough leeway, but clearly it was not. Turns out my trip on the White Rim was cancelled due to mud, so no foul. Just a word to the wise.

I have not used this device, but I wanted to state that its construction is clearly heavy-duty. I almost decided against buying it because of a review that said it broke on their first use, but I see now that this review has to be badly skewed. I have enough experience with straps, even sewing my own, to state that this is about as stout a device as one could make it. I hope not to have to use it in a nasty spot, but I have good confidence it will perform when I do.

Great addition to my hi-lift kit. Very heavy duty...has zero issues lifting my 2017 Power Wagon. As far as any offensive smell....well mine is devoid of it. That rubber smells like a new tire, but you have to put your nose on it to take a good hit. I've left it on the floor in the back seat area of my truck for days on end and it's had zero impact on the cabin atmosphere. I'm not saying there's no aroma and some folks can be extra sensitive to odors so I'm not calling those people out at all. Anyway....I like the item a lot and am glad to have it in the event the trail forces my hand!

The stitching holding the two hooks together is much too low and making it impossible to hook properly to the rim. This is not like the original. Somebody is trying to sale us a cheap copy or a really bad batch. Please don't buy it!

Started out giving this product only 4-Stars due to cost
Haven't had this product long, after using it with the Hi Lift jack, i now can appreciate the jack more (safety issues)
This product takes a well know jack that has a history of being unstable, to a new level of lifting with confidence.
There are many times when lifting a vehicle there is no safe contact point for the jack.
The name of this product is Perfect, 'Lift Mate'.

Pros: This handy little gizmo lets you lift your rig without decompressing your suspension. What's that mean, you say? When you jack up a vehicle on the frame, you have to lift the weight of the vehicle off of your suspension until the wheel/tire finally come up off of the ground. On a vehicle with lots of articulation and down-travel, your suspension may soon exceed your jack. But by jacking up the wheel instead of the frame, the weight of the vehicle stays on the suspension, so you don't have to jack up nearly as far. This is great for keeping your center of gravity nice and low when jacking. One other note... if you have to change your wheel/tire, this gizmo won't work - you'll have to jack at the frame so you can get the wheel off. In that situation, use a ratchet strap to cinch your suspension up to the frame. That'll prevent your suspension from "unloading" - so you can still get the tire off of the ground with minimal jacking.

Cons: Oh, right... this is a review, not a Hi-Lift tutorial. Um, no cons really. It's a great item.

Bottom line: If you actually 'wheel that mall-crawler, then you should have one of these in your recovery bag.
