This Skillet is massive.
Researched•May 5, 2018
It seems very well-made. It truly is ginormous. So make sure it'll fit in your oven if you intend to use it in the oven. I have not cooked with it. But judging from sight and feel it is a good buy, if you're looking for a ginormous skillet.
Best thing in the kitchen
MI-Backpacker•November 20, 2017
This pan permanently lives on my stove. I cook 90% of my meals in it. Before I go on...after working in a kitchen I knew what a flat top should look like (the desired effect for this pan on my stove). I sanded for two hours with an orbit sander (starting with 40 grit) and seasoned it 8 times with flax seed oil and olive oil. It fit my oven with the handles in the corners of my oven. Watch a YouTube video on seasoning and get it right! Now....after all of that work...it's the best piece of kitchen gear I got. I purchased a couple quality metal spatulas and a lid for the 20 in lumberjack pan and now I can cook anything from eggs over easy, pasta, to authentic Chinese in this thing. Feed a family of five or the whole deer camp....and let your friends be amazed...get them the link 😉. Cleaning...I get mine red hot after the meal. Pour in two cups of water (wait for the steam to slow) then use a metal spatula to scrape (easily) the food off the bottom. I dump that, rinse it, and return it to the stove (with some arm strength). I then wipe the water out as it heats up again and spray it with Pam. The Pam browns fairly quick and doesn't go rancid. Whalla ready for the next meal. Enjoy this boat anchor!!!
Decent pan for the money, but a little on the thin side

Know what you are getting into with this. I figured I could use it on my grill or in my oven.. Well the oven ain't happening. I can't close the door it is so big! A 16" is probably all anyone needs.
SIZE DOES MATTER

It's so big it takes up 4 burners! I can't close my oven door on it. And the casting is robust- no warping etc.
loads of room for a couple of chickens or whatever.
