At $44.50, it was pretty good bargain...

I purchased it in advance of a 16-day trip from US to Italy. The suitcase only was taken, as I used it as carry-on and I left the smaller shoulder bag at home. I used a lightweight nylon backpack as the "personal item" and it held my crossbody purse.
The suitcase weighed about 18-19 pounds near the end of our trip. We rolled over LOTS of stone pavements and up & down many cobble-y streets. All was good.
After the trip, I inspected the bag, especially the handles. You can perhaps see that the middle handle( the main one you use to lift it onto curbs, or steps) the vinyl attachment piece with the rivets is already beginning to separate. We drilled two additional holes and installed ¼ inch "Chicago Screws" which are like manual threaded rivets. I added some super glue to reinforce the original rivet holes.
I would be careful, and try to lift the suitcase using the "add-on" strap, instead of the top handle. If checking the bag in future, I will lift it using the side handle.
It's always the dilemma, when buying a new case, go for the cheapo, knowing it may malfunction, or go for a more expensive one that may also malfunction on a long, rough pavements trip.
I will use this next as a checked bag on an US airline. We'll see whether our preventive repairs will last.
For the price of $44.50, I received a decent carry-on and a shoulder bag that I may or may not use. I may use it in the car as a "Go Bag" for emergency supplies or to hold items for the kids, or as a lunch bag.
Overall, I was satisfied, but if I were traveling regularly, I would try to obtain an older, 2 wheel, better quality bag.
Thanks for reading this.

My "Go-to" luggage

I own this bag in red. I purchased it about six years ago and have average about 4 trips per year with it. I am currently shopping for its replacement.
Let me explain the things I love about it. I bought this as part of a patched set and appreciate this in my search of the baggage carousel. The bag's construction is sturdy and the contents are well protected. There are cubbies or pouches in the most protected corners for safe storage of breakables; they WORK. It is spacious enough to hold a week's worth of hanging clothes and still have room for everything else I need on a weeklong trip (shoes, toiletries, small clothes, chargers/cables, etc.). The interior shows no wear after 6 years of use all internal parts work as well today as the day I bought it. The telescoping handle is sturdy enough to work well with this bag and a carry-on bag attached to it. It extends to a comfortable height and does a good job controlling the bag while rushing to make a flight. The wheels likewise are large enough to roll well, even in the under-construction airports & airport parking lots which seem to litter our continent. This handle telescoped completely and stores inside a zippered pocket. This garment bag came with handles, a should strap, and the telescoping handle.
Here are the things I would change about this piece of luggage. The design is such that when it falls over, it always false face down on the only colorful part of the bag. It makes the luggage one more anonymous black bag on the airport carousel. This also puts the most textured and decorative portion of the bag the side baggage handlers use to slide the bag, which has resulted in much wear and actual tear to the "Nice" side of the bag. The first trip I used the bag the shoulder strap broke. Looking at it later, the swivel snap portion seemed to be formed from a lesser quality metal than the other pieces of the strap and this is what broke. In all fairness I believe this was a quality control error made by the subcontractor from whom they purchased the hardware and not a reflection on Travel Select's design or manufacture.
I have used this bag more than any other in the set. I use it for business travel and vacation travel. It is more worn than any other piece in the set, as is should be. The positives far outweigh the negatives, and it is my "Go-to" luggage. If I could, I would change a few things about this garment bag. They are making this bag for a variety of people with a variety of needs and travel styles, so I would not try to correct the balance issue with the bag falling on its "Face". I would make the entire bag the same color on all sides, I would select a less textured clothe (while it looks great, it snags on everything in baggage handling), make the metal tubing of the collapsible handle one gauge thicker, and add a check of hardware quality before using it on the luggage. In my current search for a replacement, I may end up buying a new copy of what I already own.

Luggage is small in size and came with no keys

Bag looked good. But was unable to use this bag as it came smaller than I expected for a checkin bag. Also it came locked with no keys in the bag. So ended up returning the product.
Held up fine on a 2-week trip with 3 flights and multiple train trips

I can no longer use carry-on bags because I can't lift them, but I did not want a huge checked bag for an upcoming 2-week trip. This 25" suitcase was ideally sized for what I needed to pack and the expansion came in handy on the trip home to hold some of the souvenirs I bought. I like the two front zipper compartments and the fact that all of the openings are lockable.
The only flaw I read about in reviews that concerned me was the durability of the back of the suitcase, which is quite thin in comparison to the front. Just to be on the safe side, I put a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the suitcase in case the back fabric tore and I also packed some black duct tape in case I needed to do a fast repair. As it turned out, the suitcase held up perfectly - no tears in the back.

Terrific Little Suitcase!

We took a last-minute trip to Florida due to some good airline rates. I no longer had a carry-on bag, so needed to get one. This is a nice and rugged bag with a lot of room. We stayed a week and I had plenty of space for my items (then again, it was August in Florida so t-shirts, shorts, and socks were the items I packed--not very bulky).
The handle is sturdy and the small accessory bag was a nice addition. Lots of room in that bag too and it slipped over the carry bag's handle.
For the price, this was an exceptional value--don't hesitate to make this purchase!
