This deters my dog from chewing on things: His bed, chair edges, wires, etc. I bought this to refill my original bitter apple bottle, and it seems to work just as well. When I see my puppy go after something, I give it a few sprays, and he leaves it alone. Very handy and more than pays for itself with diminished destruction. I'd tried another spray and it just didn't work, so I went back to Grannicks and it stops him every time. Very pleased with this bitter apple!

I love this product because our puppy doesn't! This is a great chew deterrent, I just wish it lasted longer; we have to respray daily. Of course, over time, dogs and cats should learn that the things they are tempted to chew will taste bad. It works on grass, electrical tape, carpet, and anything else we have sprayed it on. It has not stained or discolored anything, so far. I would highly recommend!

We just got our Rottweiler puppy about two weeks ago and he's developed a fixation with chewing the lava rocks we have in two of our larger planters outside. He'd actually growl and nip when I would take it from him sooo to avoid frustration and getting bit, I remembered how well this stuff worked for our first dog. I doused the rocks when the puppy wasn't around and sat down to watch his reaction. He immediately went for one of the larger rocks and started chewing ... he didn't react right away so I got disappointed for a few mins. Then the taste must have kicked in because he left that rock, went and tried about three others before he gave up and moved away. Yay!! Success... I'm going to spray the furniture legs now and anything else he needs to leave alone. Yes all pets are different but I think this stuff is awesome! Saves me from a little bit of the stress of a new puppy. Oh and yes you'll need to pour this into a spray bottle ... I'm not sure how other people are applying it straight from a pour bottle but spraying is the way to go as this is a large refill size.

We tried a few different bitter sprays before this one and all of them sucked. This was a last try before I gave up on bitter sprays. This worked extremely well. From the moment my puppy tasted it he stays away from things we spray. He is ten weeks old, and we can leave our video game cabinet open knowing he won'tgo near them. And if he does get curious again, I spray it all down and he stays clear.

Isopropyl alcohol! I've used Grannicks Bitter Apple in the past but the 32 oz bottle I purchased through Amazon does not contain any Bitters! Yes I tasted it! Label reads "20% Isopropanlol" but this is more like 70%. Very disappointed.
