Great fan! My boyfriend does NOT have AC so I got him this fan and I have to admit, I had to get under the covers when sleeping!

Fits quite nicely into my daughter's closet year-round, pissing her off. The few times I've had to use it, it worked amazingly well, but it's quite loud.

This 20 inch monster is great, my wife and I are on the 3rd floor of a townhouse and got this fan to help cool the room down at night. It's loud, even on low setting. This doesn't bother us at all, we are heavy sleepers and the constant hum actually helps me sleep. I can see this also being a fantastic fan for helping ventilate a room if you are painting or cleaning with chemicals. It moves a lot of air.

We purchased this fan based on the many glowing reviews it has received.
As others have mentioned, this fan is loud, but that seems to come with the
territory. We have yet to find one that is quiet and moves a lot of air.
The fan works, but it is lacking a couple of things that are important to us.
First, there is no usable handle to carry it from room to room. More
importantly, we live in the desert where dust is a problem, and the cover
does not detach to allow you to clean the blades. We will have to remove
several screws to clean it. We would have returned this fan but would have
gotten so little back after the restocking and shipping fees that we decided
to just keep it. We'll continue looking for a better fan and use this one as
a backup.

Be sure to realize this is giant!! I had hoped it would run quiet.... however it is loud like a jet engine... Obviously too large for my needs but it would be great in a larger. If I had gotten the smaller (medium) sized I would have been much more satisfied.
