I am very glad I decided to upgrade to this miter gauge. It works so much smoother than the stock one I had. The large handle is great and having the locked detents is a luxury for the precision I'm after. I am not sure why there were so many negative reviews on this product. It seems that many people could not get the fence set to 90 degrees to the table. However Incra put two adjustable screws to perform that very adjustment if needed. I myself had no problem squaring my fence to the table and it is also very easy to square the fence to the blade. Also the adjustable sliders require a little bit of muscle to expand, but not that bad. I think length of bar is fine and overall I really enjoy using this miter gauge.

It's pricey but accurate. In trying to make it stay in one location in my t track, I over-tightened my adjustments and now I can't get the small hex screws backed out because the Allen wrenches that fit them are too thin and bend. I still love it over the factory Dewalt miter gauge.

Even with all the t track adjustments fully expanded/tightened, it still moved on my Dewalt worksite saw. Maybe I was just asking it to do a job it wasn't designed to do?

I ordered this miter gauge and have been using it on my Dewalt dwe7480 table saw. So far I love this thing! It was super easy to set up, calibrate, and get right down to business. I only have one complaint, but that is with the table saw, not the miter.

Pros:
1. It is very easy to set up this mitre. as long as you have a carpenter's square and about 5 minutes you are ready to go. Loosen four screws, align the mitre to the blade, and tighten the screws and you are fully adjusted on the mitre.
2. It fits very snugly without any play in the miter guide slot. This miter gauge will work with either t-groove or plain groove miter slots, all you have to do is remove one screw to get it into the plain slot like my saw has. Once it was in, I used the included allen wrench to tighten down the snug circles (there are four in total) and after that I was left with a mitre that moves smoothly without any side to side play. I was extremely impressed. You do need to really put quite a bit of elbow grease into the screws, but the expanding circles do a wonderful job of getting everything set very nicely and securly in the groove.
3. Adjusting the angle is super simple, super fast, and super accurate. I measured a few different angles with a protractor and square and they were all right on. I was super impressed. Simply loosen two easy to reach set knobs and you are ready to change your miter. Tighten them back down and you are ready to go.

Con:
The only con I had was with the verticle square. The instructions said it was perfectly adjusted out of the box, but my square indicated that it was slightly out of square. Luckily, even the verticle adjustment is super easy to do, and within ten minutes I had the whole thing set up. This single con was not enough to cause me to lower the rating.

All in all I am super happy with this miter gauge. If I was ever in the market for another one, you can bet I would come back here. The price was also very reasonable for what I would call a fine tool.

Solid, adjustable, and with a mounting face for extensions and jigs. While the face was not perfectly perpendicular to my blade (or to the t-slot) when I received this miter gauge, the face adjustment was simple and solid. This came in handy when I built a quickie one-off sled out of some low grade stock. I was able to dial in the sled backboard perfectly, and it held through about a dozen cuts I needed to make without having to re-align or re-tighten the adjusting nuts. A very serviceable replacement to the miter gauge that came with my saw (about 20 years ago).

Incra makes great products. While they may be a bit on the costly side, they're well worth the extra money if you can afford it. This miter gauge was very easy to set up and works beautifully. Very tight fit which is what you need in a good miter gauge. I use it on both my table saw (a DeWalt) and my router table. I highly recommend all of Incra's fine products.
