I bought this vise because I just needed something small that clamped to a table instead of bolting down.
It's okay for the money; Not a high-quality product by any means, but it works. If I intended to use it more frequently, I would probably spend more money for something better.
My biggest complaint is that it claims to open to 4", but at least on mine, the screw detaches from the body shortly before you get to that point (I haven't bothered to measure how much, but I would estimate that it's actually around 3 7/8"). I'll still use it, but that's something to be aware of, because I specifically wanted to clamp things up to 4".
