The Ramp Works.

Have not used it extensively yet, but it does seem to be well built. It can handle my 130 lb. scooter with no problems. The real test however will be when we try it with my 300 lb. Wheelchair. One disappointment with this unit are the Velcro straps that are used to keep it closed when not in use. They use cheap plastic fasteners on the straps which have failed after their first use. Pop rivets would have been a better choice. The unit itself is heavy and a bit clumsy to operate. If you are not a strong person I would suggest you get another person to help you. You should also take care not to get your skin abraded by the non-slip material on the ramp itself. A good pair of heavy duty gloves is advised.

I purchased the 8 foot long ramp. The aluminum is thick, which makes it very heavy and difficult for a single person to open easily, especially on a regular basis so it is not overly practical for frequent use such as a ramp into a vehicle if you go out often. After spending almost $400, for what I believe to be a new item, it was extremely disappointing that there were 4 different areas that were bent. The product is certainly something that I could not bend by hand. It is not ideal for a 3 wheeled scooter as the middle has a large gap between the two sides, but it seems to be stable.
One STURDY ramp

We purchased the 10-foot ramp to bridge an almost 48" set of steps. We were aware that the incline would be more severe than necessary but Amazon doesn't offer the 12-foot ramp.

First off, the ramp came connected as a single, connected piece and it is heavy. I am 5'3" and weigh just over 100 lbs and I can lift the ramp by myself but I wouldn't want to be moving by myself all the time in fear of getting crushed. ... It supposedly weighs about 63 pounds. On a side note, I really wish the engineers had designed the ramp to be folded with the "top", or the walking surface, facing each other when stored so that it's easier to unpack and place in position. In any case, I chose not to separate the two sections before placing the ramp in position because that would have required the removal of nuts and bolts. So. I placed the ramp somewhat in position, released the Velcro (nice touch) from both sections and unfolded both sides of the ramp. This resulted in the ramp laying upside down. From that point, I dragged it off to the side so I could flip both ramps over and into place with the sand paper-ish side facing up. There is a smallish, rectangular hole toward the top of each ramp to help secure the ramps in place with hooks and whatnot. Though the ramps seemed quite secure as they were, we decided to hook them in place just in case.

Because of the steep angle, the grippy surface was definitely a crucial feature for us. We feel confident walking up and down the ramp because of the grippy surface, even in the rain. There is absolutely no slippage. We use the ramp for moving vehicles around 150lbs in weight. There is Zero bounce. The ramp feels solid. We've had the ramp up for about two weeks now and it's holding up quite well in our hot, sunny yet rainy weather. All in all, I have to say that this ramp is well worth the cost even with the pricey shipping fee ($100)!
Very well made!

I'm a mobile Dj and needed a ramp to bring my equipment in and out of my van. Works great and Golds up extremely easy. Very light weight and my staff loves it, especially on their backs lol

This is an awesome ramp! I am in the beginning stages of RA and have days I need a wheelchair but for the most part I can do without. I didn't want to purchase a permanent ramp. This allowed me to go to the state fair with my daughter and grandson, which I would not have been able to do without my chair. My daughter is small in stature and she was able to set up with no problems. She could load it in the van with ease. It's very sturdy. I also use this to get my chair in and out of my house so now I can walk my dogs.
