Do Not Recommend These Speakers.

I just took the speakers out of the box and installed them only to find that one of the speakers is not working. I tried switching the wires with the working speaker and nothing. So I tried hooking the non-working speaker up to another stereo and nothing.. These speakers are new out of the box and since we are past the 30 Amazon return policy I guess we are stuck with dealing with the manufacturer. I would NOT RECOMMEND these speakers as a result of only having one speaker working. SAVE YOUR MONEY and look elsewhere.
Good sound, durability not the best

These sound great and for the price they are pretty awesome. BUT the wire connector on the back is a weak, spring loaded crimp type. This is the failure mode - my connector has both rusted and lost whatever spring force it had originally. So now the sound cuts in and out because the wire does not make consistent contact with the speaker connector. I've tried a variety of 'fixes' - using sandpaper to expose fresh metal for the connection and using a wedge to supply more clamping force. Still, it's hit-or-miss. If I bought these today, I'd hook them up, make sure that they worked and then fill the connections with silicone caulk or similar to prevent the oxidation that is causing me to consider buying something else.

If you're looking for something with decent or even good sound then move on. I have been an AV installer for over 10yrs and have never seen worse speaker terminal connections. All 4 of the speaker terminal spring loaded clips popped out when I put wires in them. I'm using 16g speaker and if the wire is bent in such a way, it will push against the clip and not make contact with the terminals inside.
Also I do not see how these could be rated for outdoors. No way, no how.

Good for Atmos bad hardware

Bought these for a 5.1.2 Atmos setup. They work great for this application. I mounted to the ceiling. The mounting hardware included worked well. I'd recommend for surround application, not really sure if they would be good for main speakers.
Edit: moved these to a new location. Both of them broke. The cheap screw things aren't held in very well and both feel inside the speaker. Since they are height speakers, I don't imagine I'll even notice. But had to bring the rating down. I'd expect them to be tougher if they are supposed to be able to go outside.
Jerry rigged it by screwing straight into the side of the speakers.

I have a large outdoor area that is broken into multiple sections. I purchased several of these speakers and bought a splitter box to separate these speakers into zones that I can control. The mounting was very simple. They look good, they don't jump out at you, but when you notice them they look quite modern and fit without looking tacky. The sound quality is impressive for the price. I am happy with this purchase, the sound makes you think they cost much more. The only small issue I have is that I used 14g wire and the clip springs on the back seemed almost over extended. On one it popped out of place, but I was able to put it back together. This was the only issue. I have most of them under cover, but 2 I placed on a fence outside, and I guess I'll find out how weather proof they are. I do plan to do what someone suggested on here. Cover with a shower cap during winter months. Five stars is quality for price.
