replaced a older grip shift that just was sticky and was not managable by a 7 year old on their 6 speed 20" bike. This was a perfect fit and works great with the suntour derailler that was onboard.

Good shifter. Product is as advertised. Some reviews of other shifters complained about the cable being too short - the cable on this is a couple feet longer than I needed, so no problems. I also like the ability to adjust the cable length with the nut on the shifter to tweak the shift points.

Arrived on time but no adjustment instructions included. The installation was simple enough but once that's complete the adjustment so the gears shift properly isn't so simple. You can struggle with this, until you get it right, or watch a how-to video on youtube. Also, no tab-end was included to crimp at the end of the cable. It's a 4 but could've been a 5 star!
Now my daughter can shift!

My daughter's bike came with a cheap SunRun derailleur and twist shifter. It was so hard to turn that her 8 yr old wrists couldn't twist back to lower gears. I ended up breaking the SunRun twist shifter while trying to hack it and make it easier to turn.
So, I picked up this inexpensive SRAM twist shifter and I'm shocked at how much easier this is to turn. I would highly recommend this for any child's bike.

Very simple to install. However, if you have a recumbent or a tandem, you'll have to buy an additional cable and install the cable at the same time as the shifter.
If you're going to install one of these, I'd recommend watching a YouTube video on the install. It's simple, but there are a couple of tricks that will help you.
