I've tried Bilstein 5100 and Rancho RS9000XL shocks and was so disappointed with both that I removed them with less than 20K miles each. Neither provided sufficient rebound control to stop truck movement after a moderate compression such as a high-speed dip or traffic hump, etc. resulting in a wallow and unstable feel. The KYB shocks are outstanding, even more plush (for a HD truck) over bumps, rail road tracks, etc. and the feeling of stability is excellent, absolutely no excess body movement after compression. Even a noticeably better feel when turning. These shocks are significantly cheaper than the other high-end/popular choices and actually perform. Nothing "looks" as heavy duty as the RS9000XL shock however; which has the largest body, shaft, and nicest looking hardware (and by far the most expensive), but the KYB performance, independent of cost, is the best I've found. I decided to try KYB after after installing KYB Gas-Adjust shocks/struts on my son's Tacoma.

Great replacement for my 2004 GMC Sierra 2500 Duramax LB Crewcab. KYB 565104 (rear) and KYB 565102 (Front). Well built, heavy duty shock. Ride quality is fantastic. May feel a little stiff when using as a daily commuter rig, but on washboard roads or towing my camp trailer, they are awesome.

I've had KYB shocks before on my Miata so I knew they make a great product. The only gripe I have is that there were no instructions included. I watched a KYB video which was not specific to the vehicle. It said basically that extra washers were included for different applications. This was not true and after installation I noticed the hole that the upper shock rod was way too big, but I installed it with out two washers as the old ones were installed that way. After putting everything back together, I thought i would better check, and one of the answers said use all 4 washers. So I took it all apart and sure enough the washers with large holes index in to the hole in the mounting bracket. and sandwich the rubber washers properly on both sides and make sure the shock shaft doesnt wander. Added about another extra hour and a half to the job. Looking forward to seeing how they perform!

Perfect Fit on my 2001 Chevy Suburban 2500 6.0 4x2. As easy as it can be to install, all necessary hardware included. I'm running a little bit over sized at 285/75r16 w/Kenda Klevers and the old worn out Shocks were not cutting it. These shocks were just what the Dr ordered! Eliminated/significantly reduced braking and acceleration roll. Greatly improved body roll in corners. I would recommend these pending the application and am very satisfied with this product.

these shocks are amazing big difference from what i had on before.

Note: make sure to reuse old bushings from suspension the ones they send dont seem to fit properly.

also: look at the Jounce (this is what chevy calls them) or (frame bump stop) if they are falling apart replace them otherwise you will still have issues with the front suspension on your truck
