The one that didn't blow works great.

Bought these for my vw sand rail early in the build. While lowering it down on the lift it blew one of the shocks out and dumped all the oil out. Before it had ever been driven. Missed the return window and I hadn't even driven the buggy yet. The one that didn't blow works great.

OK so i did a bunch of research when it came to ordering rear shock for my 71 super Beetle. After about a week of research on various different VW sites i came to the conclusion that these were the ones to have. After installing which took like 15 min and putting the wheels back on I realized just how bad my old ones were! So far I love them! It kind of like driving cloud!
