I love this cane! So nice to easily adjust for height. Reasonable price. Not especially pretty, but prettier ones are much more expensive and don't work as well. Utility needs to be number one when it comes to canes. I really like the hooked tourist handle. Thank you!
Not So Dependable

I've used Duro-Med adjustable canes for several years now, and I've always found them to be sturdy and dependable--a 5-star purchase. But something has gone wrong lately. The last two canes I purchased (over the past six months) have defective mechanisms, meaning that a 37" cane will suddenly turn into a 30" cane without warning, (I weigh under 200 pounds, btw.) This is dangerous, of course, and I'm unlikely to purchase another.

Excellent product! I have recently had some significant health problems and this cane has helped me walk again (I've had to use a walker for the past few weeks). It looks good, is easy to adjust, and feels very comfortable. Of course, the price is also outstanding. I looked at similar canes at the nearby drug store and they cost approximately three times the amount!
Bronze Color, Foam Handle Set This Cane Apart

This DMI DELUXE ADJUSTABLE WALKING CANE (Bronze) really exceeded my expectations! I love the dark bronze color, which sets it apart from the usual silver. My husband and I already own three silver DMI canes, and silver has gotten really boring.
The curved handle has a foam covering that is much easier on my hand than the standard hard plastic. I strongly prefer the traditional curved cane handle to an offset handle (see, e.g., Hugo-Mobility Offset Handle Cane). The curved handle makes the cane feel more like an extension of my arm, and I get a more natural walking gait.
DMI canes are solidly constructed, with adjustment buttons that are easy to move (but the buttons never slip out of position). The horizontal ring around the two parts of the cane really locks the selected height solidly. I'm 5' 3" tall, and for me the cane is at the correct height in the third-from-the-top hole.
I'm not keen on the wrist strap. I feel safer just dropping the cane if it slips on something (e.g., water or an oily patch), so I don't use the strap. Still, the strap does give the cane a more elegant look (as do the black handle and cane tip combined with the bronze color).

Great cane for anyone who has Arthritis or other pain issues in their hands. I bought 2 of these canes because the price was very reasonable & I need a foam handle for my painful hands. It's very stable & sturdy. I use one whenever I leave the house. The other one I use around the house and in my yard. I don't like the color black, so bought a cheap roll of rainbow duct tape. I wrapped both canes in the duct tape. When I go out in public people ask where I bought the cane. I tell them on Amazon, and that I added the duct tape for color. They really like the foam handle. I hope the manufacturer will eventually offer this cane in colors other than black!
