Perfect pocket sized solution

We have been using these in our house for almost two months now and love them! They are just the right size for us to grab in the morning and slip into a pocket to remember to take our supplements for lunch and dinner.
In our house we have two sets, one for me and one for my husband. I used our label maker to put our names on top of each pod so we don't get our pills mixed up. We also have two of the EZY Dose 7 Day trays (http://www.amazon.com/EZY-Dose-7Day-Push-Button/dp/B001OK1YUA/ref=pd_sim_hpc_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1N1SG85T6P0FRMM9CD1E) as well. The big tray is what we use for our Breakfast/Bedtime pills and these pocket packs are what we take with us for Lunch/Dinner pills.
On the down side, you do have to make sure they don't tip over when you are filling them. This is easy to correct if you open them fully first so the plastic hinge is prepared to lay flat. I did drop one the other day and it popped open, but that was gravity and not a design flaw. I might be concerned if I was throwing these in a purse that got tossed around a lot, however I do toss these into my tote bag I carry to work and haven't had any issues with them opening.
I would strongly recommend this item as a portable option for traveling and taking supplements or medications. We are probably going to even buy some as a gifts for friends and clients.

Just a great product to give that little helpful reminder to take the evening medications. Just as described. Would buy again.
Served its purpose wonderfully.

This is a wonderful alternative to lugging around all the pills I take. Recently, I have been forgetting weather or not I took my morning meds, leading me to double-dose sometimes which - needless to say - was bad. I wanted an alternative to the large box I carry with me everywhere I go, but less clunky then a pill organizer. This was absolutely perfect.
The plastic of the pill boxes is quite sturdy but - as I realize it is just *plastic* - I make sure not to put the pods into a situation where they may be crushed easily (like a large purse alongside heavy objects). I have read reviews about the pods breaking, which makes me wonder if those who received the fragile pods had either heat damaged or poorly-molded pods. These seem quite sturdy. The only thing that worries me a little is the plastic tab that holds the lids on each container. Each compartment (separated by a plastic divider) is about 1 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" long by 1/2" deep.
The only thing keeping this product from getting five stars is the fact that the AM/PM slots lack independent lids. This can be a problem if handling the pods either half asleep or in a vehicle.
I would not recommend this for the elderly. Whereas these work for me fine (I'm in my 20s), I can see why the pods/boxes would be difficult for someone with an uneasy grasp and poor eyesight. Though if you buy this set and find it unsuitable for Grandma, these make fantastic back-up boxes for those who suffer from headaches, indigestion, or remembering to take your meds during allergy season or bouts of the flu.

Not for arthritic hands

When DH began having to take a number of meds in the evening it got confusing. He has a large pill dispenser that works very well for his morning meds but he could no longer keep up with the evening meds and was afraid he would make a mistake. He needed something that wouldn't take up much space but that had at least two compartments for each evening and would need to accommodate larger pills. This product seemed ideal and a bargain at 6 bucks.
But with his arthritic hands he had difficulty handling the little pocket pods. The pod dimensions are about 2-1/2"L x 2"W x 3/4"D and surprisingly stable within the tray. The corners are rounded--perfect for carrying--but they are not easy for stiff fingers to grip, to open, or to hold steady while filling or dispensing. His initial remark was that it would be better if they were square. While he must exercise great care in filling and opening the pods, he is using this little dispenser quite successfully. In hindsight even though it costs more than twice as much I probably should have bought 7 Day 4 Compartment Pill Organizer DEEP One Inch . It's likely I didn't see it because it was not prime eligible.
This dispenser really is a good idea! Load the little boxes and put them in your purse or pocket and you're off! But for someone who has difficulty using their hands, this is not recommended.

12 years old and still perfect for me

I purchased this from Amazon in Aug 2011. It has held up very well. Nothing has broken and the boxes still open and close firmly. Some of the markings are just now starting to wear off but it is still easy to tell the day and AM or PM. I have tried other pill organizers but I always come back to this one. It is just so functional for me--that is for taking pills twice daily.
Normally I don't take these containers out of the house. I prefer to transfer any pills that I need to take with me into a similar plastic holder. That is because I wouldn't want to lose one of this set. When I do take a pill container with me I slip it into a Glad snack bag. Not only does that mean the pills cannot fall out, but it also has the added benefit of preventing the rubbing off of markings on the top of the container.
If I have a temporary medication, such as an antibiotic, that needs to be taken 3 or 4 times a day, then I have to make allowances. But I have developed protocols so that I am able to follow a different pattern for those 10 days, or so. Then I go back to this one, my tried and true.
