Not ideal for making a video. That's because it wobbles. Part of that can be fixed by adding pads underneath (it comes with 5 protrusions on the bottom and no pads). However, the mirrored surface also wobbles relative to its platform and that is noticeable with tall objects. If not making videos, the wobble shouldn't be a problem.

Times for one rotation are as reported by others: about 36 sec in H and 44 seconds in L.

Good luck in lifting the thin protective film off! It is unbelievably hard to FIND and peel because it's been trimmed to exactly the mirrored surface's edge. Don't use a sharp utility knife trying to pick the film up as I did; instead of catching the film, it caught the mirrored surface instead, damaging it slightly.

My reasons for only 3 stars were because of the difficulty of removing the film and the wobble.

Save your money. The "mirror" is just a thin piece of aluminum. When I took off the protective sheet it had a small amount of dust on it. I used a lint free cloth to wipe it off. Now it's covered in tiny scratches. Fortunately I have a mirror I can attach to the top. Made from cheap plastic, something you would pick up at the dollar store.

I bought this Turn Table device to video some items to test out my new camera. This is really nice specifically for taking video. I like that it can be switched to turn left or right. I think the speed is pretty good considering what I am going to be using it for. I also create craft doll that I intend to do videos of. I don't want this devise to spin the doll so fast that it falls off or topples over. It had a good size as well for small to medium sized items. I think the battery will last a long time since it isn't something I will have running all day long like a store display for example. So far it's pretty good. I will be adding a sample video of this turn table at work soon . I hope to use it in future reviews for Amazon as well. I do recommend this item.

I got this today and it works just great! The mirror is a little wavy but that's completely within expectations of an acrylic mirror. The mirror DOES come with a clear plastic protective layer on it to keep it safe during shipping and whatnot. So don't forget to remove the protective plastic so you will have the mirror look as reflective and nice as it is intended. Many other reviewers said that they got their mirror all scratched up. I believe they simply did not realize there is a clear protective plastic on the mirror. It does not have any tabs to remove it like other protective plastics do so it is easy to overlook. You will just have to roll the edges with your fingertips to get it started to peel it off of the mirror.

This thing is awesome. I was looking for turntables to put small items on and couldn't find anything that wasn't some professional grade $400 one, or a noticeably cheap one that is loud and wobbly. This one is none of those things, and even comes with what a lot of those 'professional' ones didn't: a mirrored base. It's also extremely quiet, I would doubt you would hear it in a camera recording unless you had a really sensitive microphone, and there's no way you'd hear it over the other noises in your house if you wanted to use it purely for display. The only downside is that it uses two C batteries, which is great because it lets you put it anywhere, but isn't great because it requires C batteries. I wish I could use both a DC and batteries for when I don't want to worry about it dying and for when I don't want extra cables.

But for what I need it for it's perfect. It turns smoothly and looks great, although I do wish the hi-speed option was a little bit faster. The slow speed is just what I would want slow to be.
