Used for aquarium when power failed
Mel Liddle•May 29, 2018
Bought in case of power outage and finally aud one. Works very well, but if you are using for aquarium you will need sowmthing to weigh down stone as it didn't want to stay down (it didn't quite float either)
I use 2 batteries, haven't tried with one to judge difference in bubbles, but like that option

I used this bubble box during our move to transport our fish in our 30 gallon saltwater aquarium. Popped all our fish and some live rock in a 5 gallon bucket. They were in there for a total of 36 hours. Around the 24 hour mark I noticed they were losing their color and struggling to breathe. I realized I didn't have the bubbler at the bottom of the bucket, so I mixed up the water and moved the bubbler down to the bottom and they perked right up. All my fish survived the move thanks to this thing! It was easy to use.

Works great. Already paid for itself in 1st fishing trip
Cusher•August 5, 2017
Works great. Already paid for itself in 1st fishing trip. Herring are tough to keep alive in the well. Usually 4 hr fishing trip, 2dozen herring, half of the bait will die in my tank. Last weekend I had 3 dozen herring in one of my 18gal tanks and only lost @ 8 in a 24hr period. 2 D cells really last a long time. Would be nice if the rubber tube were 10-14" longer, but can't complain. Only regret is I didn't buy one years ago. Also great for picking up bait from store in 5gal bucket and keeping them healthy on way to the boat. Keeps me from pulling boat out of water to the bait shop for multiple day fishing trips.
Pretty, pretty, pretty good.

I purchased this aerator for a different purpose than most. I wanted to make compost tea for my garden however there is no power out at my garden and didn't want to lug a huge bucket of tea from home. For compost tea you really need a lot of bubbling, I bought two aerators. They came with tubing (fairly short) and little air stones. For those using this for fish, one aerator would suffice for 5 gallons. I wasn't satisfied with the amount of bubbles I got with two so I purchased a third and some better air stones. This is the perfect solution for me. Two D batteries in each lasted over 48 hours (I used the Amazon basics batteries). Now I am buying rechargeable batteries because I hate all the waste. This little pump is a great deal at this price, you've really got nothing to lose.
Lasted 5 full days! Highly recommend

Excellent! We used this on a cross country move in an attempt to keep some relatively hard to find aquarium fish, rather than selling them. The batteries lasted much longer than we anticipated- 5 days for 24 hrs a day on a single set of batteries. It's did finally die shortly after that, but we were expecting 2-3 days. We were pleasantly surprised. The case protected the unit from splashing but we didn't have too much splashing in the first place. I'm glad to have this on standby as a backup air pump now that it served its initial purpose.
