Over the 16 years that I've been pumping my own drinking water from a tank I have used and worn out about eight of these type of pump this is a heavy duty unit and pretty much what I expected but I don't expect it to last longer than 3 years. Good sturdy pump. I recommend setting it on lowest to begin with then increase pressure after use as needed to sustain longer. A screw located under a backside plate allows you to do this. Makes a difference on how long this pump will last. This is my 4th one. I use it for mobile grooming.
