This for the 20 to $24 range is well worth the watch

Not as much hunting as he see nowadays but interesting still and watching an archery god is great in itself. Some episodes have more hunting than others. For the 20 to $24 range, this is well worth the watch especially if you like to see traditional archery hunting. Because I'm not seeing it on TV now. Plus they're honest some added benefits and interviews and stories that you'll probably find appealing
The best !

My hero for the last 45 years. Hours of pure watching pleasure! I can remember watching his movies on The American Sportsman in the 60's. Life was so simple then. If you've never hunted with a recurve or longbow you don't know what your missing. Fred will fire you up. The quality of the video and the style of the video my seem silly to the younger Modern Bowhunter but to anyone above 50 the videos will bring back many many great memories. I've watched the complete set 3x now. I'll probably wear the DVDs out.
A definite fun adventure to

A definite fun adventure to watch these old films. I remember some of them from the old TV show American Sportsman. A few I had never seen before. For those of us that love bare bow archery these is a must for your collection. This is bow hunting at it's best. To me this is one of the must have components to any archer or bow hunters collection. Howard Hill, Fred Bear, Ben Pearson and the pioneer Art Young makes any serious archer's collection complete.
Wonderful set for any traditional archery/bowhunter today!

This is a awesome DVD set of the father of bow hunting. Traditional Bowhunter's will find this set especially appealing and enjoyable of days gone bye when everybody hunted with a long bow or a recurve. Traditional Archery is on the rise for many again and many folks like myself are even buying, collecting and/or hunting with these original Bear Archery recurve and long bows today. It's great fun using the KISS principle of a simple set up, virtually nothing to go wrong with a bow sure of breaking the bow and a half or breaking a string which is easily replaced in mInutes. These movies are educationsl, enjoyable to watch and motivate you to emulate Fred 'Pappa' Bear' - a great man that devoted his life to archery and bowhunting that we know today.
Memories of a Legend.

These films bring back glorious memories of a legend of a man. They also light a fire for those returning to the traditional ways, like myself. Fred Bear represents much more than just bowhunting and bow manufacturing. He cared for the earth. He cared for people. He cared for the animals. These films reflect that very clearly. There are some great interviews here with Fred Bear, and some hair raising moments, and some great video of other bowhunter friends of Fred...that you will know. I miss him, as do many of us. I am thrilled he left us all with these memories and his thoughts. I only wish I could have met this man, but this is the closest thing that I know of. Thanks Fred...you are indeed my hero.
