. It arrived fast, well packaged. My Kitty absolutely loves, loves, loves this.Too much to the point that within the first hour of play, he had all the feathers torn out! Thank God for the 2 extra refills.It would be great if the feathers were not so easily torn free! Great exercise for Kitty. Now he can sleep through the night. Will buy more.

These are my kittens favorite toys. More than catnip mice, more than crinkle balls, even more than the lazer pointer.

They may like them a little too much - I've not had them more than a month, and they destroyed all four of the birds. They've also chewed through some of the strings, and I've had to tie them back together. If you have chewy kittens, keep that in mind. It'd be nice if the manufacturer made the string a little sturdier, but otherwise not a lot you can do about the wear and tear when it comes to your tiny murder machines.

PROS:
Yes, my cat is "nuts" about Da Bird, just as the maker suggested. We tested it against another brand but our four-footed friend prefers Da Bird. I don't know, maybe the maker soaks the feathers in catnip juice, or pheasant urine....who knows why our cat cannot get enough play time with this cleaver cat toy. It's not the Mercedes of cat toys, it's the Lamborghini of cat toys. How many Lamborghinis must you afford to pick up your groceries? Oh, I know....what a splash!

CONS:
Conspicuous Catsumption and the return of Thorstein Veblen as rogue money pilfering cat. I agree top quality commands top price....but, this feather toy was in pieces within a few days, so with the "refills" at $15, Chris Rock could likely equate this little Lamborghini cat toy to spending money for methadone instead of food. After midnight your cat will ambush you, "pssst....get me Da Bird thing or I'll chew your toes off while you sleep."

Dope for your cat but dumb for your bank account....and you don't want to raise a gangsta cat, or do you?

Let's face it: Cats can be lovable little balls of far, but they also can be little jerks.

Hear me out.

I have two cats. They're siblings, and they just turned two in March 2016. The girl is pretty chill, but Salem, the boy, has an insane amount of energy. I'd never been able to find a toy that kept him interested day after day for extended periods of time. Consequently, he was bored much of the time and exhibited jerky cat behavior. I saw this as a call for help.

We'd had plenty of other cat wands with various attachments, but I'd only tried a few toys with feathers. Salem had loved them, but they hadn't fared well. In fact, the feathers on one of the toys had fallen out within seconds of our very first play session. Da Bird had great ratings, so I decided to give it a try.

Both cats love it, but Salem dominates play sessions. (We actually have two wands now so that my husband and I each can entertain a cat simultaneously.) I have never seen Salem play like this. He will chase it up and down his cat tree over and over again without even realizing that I'm not really playing with him--I'm giving his little kitty booty a major workout! At the end of our play session, he actually rests! This is a cat who never rests! I'm so happy to have found something that helps put his abundant energy to use.

I try to play with him before meal time, and if we don't have time for our play session in the mornings, Salem actually cries. It is the saddest thing. He looks at me, and then he looks up at the refrigerator (where I keep Da Bird). He gives me the unhappiest little meow and trots toward the cat tree as if to ask, "Why aren't we playing already?!"

Some notes:
-FYI: Two wands are available. This wand is in one piece, but our other wand was purchased in a pet store and came in two pieces that you push together.

-YOU WILL NEED REFILLS. Salem is pretty hard on Da Bird. We play with it every day, and one bird lasts about one week (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter). When a feather falls out, don't immediately throw Da Bird away. As long as the feathers are still in good condition and as long as you are supervising your cat at all times, you should be able to firmly press the feather back in to extend the life of Da Bird. If it falls out again, you may even be able to repeat the process. Obviously, there will be a time when you will just need to open up a new refill. :)

3pack set, first bird amazing! Flittered and fluttered like an actual bird, my cat loved it, was completely captivated, and was fun for me as well making it flutter perfectly. I would have given it six stars if possible for that first bird. However, once my cat "killed" the first bird I switched to the second. No fluttering, no flying. It was sad and elicited no response from cat. Tried the third bird and was better, some fluttering but not as the first but significantly better than the second. If this is a quality company they will replace the defective bird and I will correct my review but for now its 2stars, 6stars out of five for one bird, zero stars for second, 1/2 star for third bird to average 2/5stars. Hopefully this is an isolated event that they are willing to contact me and correct because the first one was amazing and I would like to order from them in the future. We will see I guess.
