It did the job well.I did not use a drill because I don't own one that has variable speeds...No matter though.I just did it by hand and it cleaned out the ninety degree pipe well using about 2 1/4 out of the 3 sticks total length. I highly recommend this product.Its quality made and the sticks are sturdy and yet bend easily to clean the ninety pipe..I rinsed everything with water when I finished and it looks brand new..

The kit arrived today, and with a few steps I had the 3" bush installed and clamped to the battery drill. As I kept the drill in clockwise motion only I didn't need to tape the joints. So that worked great. The only issue is that in the beginning the two 36" rods are a bit flimsy, but when guided by hand, it turned out to be the absolute right flex. It was easy to get around the 90 degree elbow in the pipe. I got about a cup of soot out of the 6' pipe. After 3000# of good grade pellets, this was to be expected. I am estimating to have restored 15-20% diameter and increasing the flow.

The best $30 spent since having the pellet stove. Read all the not-so-good to negative reviews of other sets and am happy to have bought this set. Would recommend to anyone, and would buy again.

Put this together today, and gave it a try. Worked great on my pellet stove pipe. Did a nice job of cleaning out dust and residue that I could not get out with just my shop vac. Shop vac'ed it after and it's like new. Easy to assemble, and use. I taped the joints to ensure they would not "unscrew" just in case, but I used my electric drill that only goes forward so no way would they unscrew. Very happy with this brush, better than everything else I've tried for cleaning that pipe.

Works really well, rods are a little soft, wouldn't break but twisted them up pretty good but they are still usable. I would recommend not using a drill over 12v though. Mine was a 14v, made them look like cooked spaghetti.

Great product. Works perfectly! I purchased this to be able to clean my own pellet stove instead of pay 150-200 every year to have it done. My stove vents through the roof and I have approx 25 feet of 4" vent that has 4-45 degree elbows in it. I was really unsure if this product would work well for my use due to the length of the vent pipe but I ordered 4 extra 3' extensions and I was able to use 21' of the extension rods no problem down my vent. The brush goes down really easily without putting alot of stress on the rods and the drill. It also cleans really well as it goes down the vent. One quick pass and all debris were cleaned away.

Because of the way my vent is situated I took the top cap off from up on the roof and went down to the stove. Behind my stove there is a cleanout that only have about 2 inches of space between the bottom of the cleanout and the floor. Because I was just a few feet short of extensions to clean my entire vent pipe I finished the last few feet from the bottom and the flexible rods were able to be used in that tight bend without issue. In-fact I am confident I could clean the entire thing from behind the stove even with that sharp bend.

Overall a great product. Works really well and very quick and easy. Even the included cleaning brush comes in handy and was not just extra un-needed junk. I was also really concerned about using as many extension rods as I have to use to clean my entire vent but I am confident I could even put more of them on without issue!
