Every Bulbrite product I have used has been great. This is a specialized design with a half chrome top to make it so you don't end up staring at the lightbulb. I am using it on a ceiling fan that uses these tiny bulbs, but I am extremely happy with them since you don't end up with direct glare.

The bulbs give off a beautiful light. The metal does get very hot. I had not thought of that and had it in the sconces beside my bed. My daughter touched one and burned her finger.
