Total control

This product is great for anyone who has not tried it. They make gel stain as well. The gel is easy to work with and gives you total control applying the product onto your surface. Works great for vertical refinishing, no drips.
Only the best!

I purchased this to recoat a dining room table I made 10 years ago. I ordered it simply because I've used a dozen other products that claim to provide the same finish, but this is the real deal. Once I found it I've never used another!

I use this gel for finishing decorative bandsaw boxes. Formerly, I used tung oil which I like too but the O.M. gel is convenient, easy, fast and imparts a nice satin finish. I thin the first coat 50/50 with mineral spirits then apply two more coats 12 or more hours apart using blue paper shop towels for rags. In a warm, dry environment, it's ready to rub out in about 15 minutes.
Other gels I've tried required a rubbing out with steel wool between coats. Not necessary with Old Masters.

Goes on smoothly

Used this to finish the top of an old pine coffee table that I had sanded down. I had to put three coats on, but it looks great and goes on very smoothly . It really brought out the wood grain on the table.
