This is a great product for keeping your metal chicken waterer from freezing. Turns on when the temp is 35F. Had a few freezing days since putting it in and it was warm to the touch when I went out in the morning so I know it's working well. Kept chicken water from freezing all winter, which is a MUST have if you keep chickens in cold weather , otherwise you are changing out waterers 3 or 4 times a day in the cold. This was a perfect solution.

This kept our water from freezing all winter. A little expensive for what it is but it did the job. I'll update if it ever breaks.
Much better than putting out a fresh bucket every morning (ugh)

It works! Don't know how long it will last but I check the girls' water every morning and it hasn't frozen even when the temperature gets down to 5*F. Much better than putting out a fresh bucket every morning (ugh).

I've used this 2 full winters now. Still works great. My chickens' water has never froze inside their unheated coop and temps have been as low as -20F outside. It makes life so much simpler and I wouldn't want to be without one.
