Love'm. I have mine in the top of my aquarium with lightning above it. Even so if the plant is not balanced you will defiantly need to connect more to it(plant or no plant). They also need to start out with small water loving plants because of the smaller root system. I know that might sound like a lot but it is fun to experiment and well worth the time.

Very disappointed. Product did not function as advertised at all! Cannot put enough in the pockets intended for planting to give enough weight for plant or roots to enter water. It floats too high in the water. I even put gravel in each planting basket...still floated too high. And the whole thing is so tiny...the pictures you see are misleading. Don't waste your money!

good little floating plant island. Planted a variety of bog-type plants and they seem to be doing well and the koi seem to enjoy the shade and sanctuary the pods provide, Would recommend buying a few more pcs to add floatation and balance and leave a little more space for plants to fill in .
