Perfect for cutting carbon fiber.

This is a great tool! As others have noted, it is a bypass cutter--much like scissors. However, unlike normal scissors, the nose of the jaws closes first, in effect cutting the wire on all sides. This produces a smoother end cut on music wire and minimizes crushing of carbon fiber. The picture doesn't do this feature justice. The short jaws and long handles gives excellent leverage too.
If you work with wire, get these shears!!

Seemed expensive but frigging awesome. I will be buying more. 1 little thing - would be nice if they had a mechanism to lock closed.

Stands up to very hard wire as described and leaves a neat, square, end unlike conventional diagonal cutters. I've cut fishing lure wire, spring stainless steel of up to .0625 diameter, noooo problem.
