Great low profile knife you can carry anywhere. I never leave my apartment without it. It attaches to a belt with a very sturdy clip and lays flat against the body. Can't see it even with just a T shirt. The handle is right where it should be and grabbing it after a few practice runs is very intuitive. Also, the sheath is very tight & there's no wiggle or noise at all.
The full serrations make this small blade a formidable weapon. It's made for police etc. as a retention weapon, which it will definitely work for but it's also perfect for any close up encounter where the aggressor has already closed the gap and you have no room to work. For the price & the small amount of space it takes up on your belt it's worth getting one and trying it for yourself.

Give your “off†hand something to do!

This is the second of this Ka-Bar TDI product I've purchased. The first seems to have disappeared and I'm pretty sure that someday I'll find it behind the dresser or some such. My first had the smooth blade and I think the serrated blade is an improvement for the knife's intended use. That is, in a close quarters, probably hand to hand situation. It is a weapon of last resort. Maybe you can get to the IWB pistol or the attacker is already upon you. This is the situation for this little knife.
I keep it on my belt at about 10 o'clock. The modified "L" shape means you can push with it or drag it across an arm, or whatever. This is where the serrations are an improvement. With the straight edge one can push with it but I feel like the serrated edge, dragged forcefully across an arm or other body part, will also get the immediate attention of an attacker.
In the immortal words of Karl Malden, "Don't leave home without one."

Good knife...but coating failing early

I wanted a last ditch knife for self defense purposes.
It sharp and I don't doubt it would serve its projected pirpose.
This design of the handle afforded me a way to comfortably pull with either hand from the left side in an emergency.
The serrated blade was also a plus in terms of utility or non self defense emergency's like cutting a seat belt.
I've had it for roughly 5 months, and found that the black coating at the tip is already starting to chip from being inserted into the sheath.
I have never actually used it to cut or stab a single thing, but have pulled it out and inserted it into the sheath for different reasons multiple times.
For an embarrassing reason, I no longer have the knife. But because of the coating chipping so soon, I have looked at other blades to replace it, before I repurchase another.
