My daughter collects the schleich horse club items and we would always have to pack them away when we wanted to use the dining table. This table was so perfect for her to always have access to her horses and stable. We love the height of table which enables her to play kneeling and the green top makes it look like grass! Couldn't be more perfect. She loves the storage and the way she can store her other accessories under the table. The price was reasonable and the assembly was easily put together with my husband and I . We bought this as a Christmas gift and it was a big hit! Would definitely recommend. Item was packaged well and arrived in damaged which is always a concern. Happy customer !

I wanted to get my son a train table for his third birthday. I hesitated getting this Melissa and Doug table because of the price, but I'm so glad I decided to buy it. It is really fantastic quality and I love that the table top can be used for other toys and not just trains. I would highly recommend!

This is one GREAT play table. Our grandson (2 years old) loves it. He especially loves the drawer, which by the way, slides open easily. He stores his cars and trucks in the drawer and takes them in and out with ease. I can't say one bad thing about this table and in all honesty am surprised by some of the negative reviews and complaints. I don't have a single complaint. My husband and I assembled it (yes all of the parts were there) in about an hour.

There wasn't a single imperfection on any of the pieces, the instructions were clear and simple, and holes were drilled perfectly for an easy assembly. I put it together with the help of a very eager almost-3-year-old and while nursing a 3 month old, so I imagine it would have been even simpler without any distractions.
Quality seems excellent. My daughter is probably around 34 pounds and sat down on the table as soon as it was assembled. I told her not to in the future just in case, but it is very sturdy.
We bought this to hold her birthday gift, which was Calico Critters- the deluxe townhouse, cozy cottage and lodge & families & accessories. Keeps small pieces away from her baby brother for now. All the accessories fit nicely in the drawer and it was a great way to present her gift at her party. She was enthralled!
Bonus points for storage room underneath. I have her train set and Lincoln logs there and plenty of room for more.

I was extremely nervous about buying this train table after reading several reviews about poor quality of materials. My husband and I spent a good amount of time looking for another table that would be the same size or bigger for a reasonable price. We were getting it for my son's birthday so as the time drew closer we just decided to get it. The table is the perfect size and is so far very sturdy. The material doesn't feel cheap or flimsy but it does appear to be particle board or something similar. It was not hard to assemble and we were able to put it together in a little over an hour. The table does sit low to the ground, which is the perfect height for my little. He prefers to be standing when he's playing with his trains. I could see how low it sits to be a con for some however. Overall, I think it's a worthy buy for a children's table.
