I bought this same pillow a few years ago but this new one is nowhere near as firm as the original. It flattens immediately and offers no support for side sleeping. My original pillows tag said it was 100% made in the USA but this new one says the cover is made in China but it it is filled in the USA.

Strangely, I had some sensitivity to the pillow's chemicals (?) and had bad dreams the first week I used this. Today I heard an interview with sleep doctor Michael Breus who said sometimes people have nightmares as a reaction to toxic mold or other chemicals. Apparently, my body did not like something inside this pillow, perhaps polyester gel fiber, so I wasn't imagining that my dreams took a strange turn all of a sudden. I now use the pillow for an occasional 2nd pillow as a prop. If you are sensitive to chemicals or have many allergies, take note. It's firm and a good size, so I can't complain about the actual dimensions. You can research nightmares and mold etc. online.

This in my opinion is a miracle pillow. I have to sleep on my side because of an apnea problem. Since getting this pillow I have had absolutely no trouble being comfortable, despite the fact that I have an injured back that makes lying on my side difficult and usually it is painful to get in just the right position. With this pillow there is absolutely no difficulty and I have slept well ever since receiving the pillow.Five stars.

This pillow has really been working for me so far. I'm not sure it's "the one," but I have been sleeping more comfortably and with less daily neck pain than any other side sleeper or specialty pillow that I have tried. I think my problem was I was going for the firm, high loft pillows that are usually recommended for side sleepers, but I am much smaller and lighter than the average adult so they would inevitably be too firm and high up for me.

Thanks to the gusset and soft filling, this pillow provides support while still letting my head sink in enough to be comfortable. And unlike memory foam, you can squish, fold, and fluff it to your liking. I recommend trying it if you've been dissatisfied with the loft and firmness of memory foam pillows. On the other hand, if it's loft and solid support that you're looking for, give this one a pass.

This pillow and the words "extra firm" have never met. This thing is a marshmallow. It had some "minor" support that was completely gone after three days. I had to put my old pillow I'd almost thrown away, underneath it just to keep my head off the mattress like no pillow at all!. I did follow another girls suggestion to put it in the dryer for 15 minutes to fluff the fibers back up, and it did work, again for only THREE DAYS. Then flat as pancake, literally, again. So if you actually don't want firm support & enjoy putting your pillow in the dryer EVERY three days to keep your head off the mattress go ahead and buy this piece of junk, but you should have your head examined if you do. The one reviewer that calls this a "squishy" pillow is not kidding. That is the best description of this useless pillow. I bought Rejuvenite's Restora high profile Latex pillow to replace this & it is like sleeping on cloud! Bast pillow I have ever slept on, bar none. That will be my pillow for life, unless they come up with one even better, but that would take a miracle! Latex, if you like permanent, never flat support, is what you should look for, not this one.
