It was a dud.

Had to return it. It was all sticky like it had been used before and the part that was supposed to slide out didn't. I'll be buying another brand from another seller.
... had the 55lb version for years and it works great and continues to
JRHDecember 27, 2016
So I have had the 55lb version for years and it works great and continues to. I purchased 2 more of these 75lb versions for my business to count part quantities by weight. The issue we have with the 75lb version is that when we are weighing small parts 100pcs weighs a target of 1lb 9oz The problem is when we add or remove a couple parts the scale does not register the change in weight unless you apply more pressure to get the scale to recognize the change. It then reads the new correct weight once it stabilizes. This makes it very hard to accurately count parts by weight without pressing on the scale to get the exact count point once you add or take off a few pieces weighing less than .5oz each Very frustrating.......sending back for the Ultraship 55lb and hope they are the same as the ones that were sold years ago.
Great product for the money

Great unit for the price. Two great options are the back lit display and the ability to turn off the auto off of the display. I run it off of a power supply and the ability to keep the display on for longer than 60 seconds is great. TIP READ the instructions on how to do this by default it is set to turn off after 60 seconds..
Removing the display at first is a little tricky but if you firmly pull it upward it slides up and works great for larger pieces. Easy to clean, small foot print, digits are large enough to see from all angles.
Cons: The top tray is difficult to take off to clean. To change the unit of measure the selector button is on the right side. Calibration is accomplished by using a 10K weight which is usually more expensive than the scale. I will find something comparable to use to periodically check it.

I bought this to use in a kitchen to weight out meat I use a separate gram scale for spices the combination is great setup.
I chose the 75lb version as it was only a few dollars more than the 35lb.
Love the weight conversion removable control/display

This little beauty has been supporting my ebay clean out the shop campaign. I did try using it for a 30 lb refrigerant scale but the auto off sort of defeated the purpose. Read others comments about auto off. For my use it has been a blessing not running down batteries. Love the weight conversion removable control/display, and hold options. Haven't tried weighing travel bags yet.

This is an update to my comments about the auto off function. I tried using the scale for a 30 lb R-134 tank again and by using the hold button you can keep the scale on. Each time you take it off hold it updates then you can put back on hold to keep from turning off. Is a work around but more than acceptable for me.
Ultraship 75 lb scale - accurate, works great

I have had this scale for some time now. I got it for ebay shipping. I find it to be very accurate. It matches the post office scale when I ship. I've never needed it for anything over 20 pounds but still, it's those light weights that need to be more accurate and I find that it is. I admit I don't use it for anything fancy. I turn it on, weigh the box or envelope and go print my label. I don't use the tare function etc. I also don't move it much or set it up over and over again. I bought the adapter for it. Just makes it easier. I don't ship all that much, so I didn't want batteries sitting in it. All in all I have no issues with it.
