I bought one for kitchen use, and it worked very good, very accurate and repeatable. I bought another one for feeding my dogs and cats. These work great the weight limit is pretty high for this little scale. Batteries seem to last forever. You get used to the 2 minute auto shut off, it gives you plenty of time or makes you more productive so it doesn't turn off. I am getting a 3rd unit soon.

When my last kitchen scale gave up the ghost I tried going without for a while but measuring cups just don't give the accuracy and consistency needed for dry measures. I found that to be especially true for measuring flour. My understanding is that's why cooks used to sift flour before measuring. Scales are much easier. And I don't know anyone who has a flour sifter in their kitchen unless they inherited one from their grandmother.
So I started searching Amazon. With nearly 90,000 mostly positive reviews at the time of this review, I settled on this one. And it didn't disappoint. I love this scale. It does everything I need, but I'm just an average and occasional home cook.
For my needs it's very accurate. However, like many scales it may not be accurate when weighing items of just a few grams. For those measures, place a plate or bowl on the scale, tare it, and then add the few grams of product to your dish until you get the desired amount. I read that recommendation years ago and it seems to work for me.
It's very small so can fit almost anywhere in your cabinets, and is easy to clean. It measures in pounds, grams, ml etc. - whatever you might need.
BATTERY SAVING TIME-OUT FEATURE
The one negative is that out of the box it shuts down after 2 minutes of inactivity to save batteries. That caught me by surprise a couple of times mid-measure as I was reading recipes and I said some bad words. Grudgingly, I resorted to reading the flippin' manual to see if the time-out feature could be controlled. Turns out you can switch between a 2 minute timeout and a 5 minute timeout by pressing and holding the two control buttons (Unit & Tare) at the same time. Problem solved.
I highly recommend this little scale!

Truly, look no further. This is the best kitchen scale. Very precise; have used it daily for a couple years and still have yet to change the battery. Pro tip: if you can't see the number under a particularly large dish or pot, lift it off quickly and the number will hold on the screen for half a second

I could never go back to not having a scale again. I've changed all of my recipes from measuring to weighing the ingredients. The end results are far more consistent. I would prefer a separate on/off button instead of the power/tare button, though. I occasionally find myself hitting the button over and over and over trying to get it to turn off.

Bought this to help me on my fitness journey as I was struggling with consistent weight loss due to my diet. Never worried about portion control before as my metabolism was very high but age catches up with us all.
Once I started using it, I quickly realized that I was eating way more than I technically needed too and that a couple ounces of pasta isn't really that much when you see it on the plate.
I searched through several scales before settling on this one. I liked the small form and large, easy to read, display. There's only a couple of buttons. Power/tare and a button to change the units. I only ever use OZ but it gives you several other options such as grams, kg, and even ml.
I really like that it's a snap to clean; usually just wipe off any moisture with a napkin after every use and the finish prevents any staining. I waited until now to review it as I wished to see how the batteries held up.
Comes with four AA batteries and takes two to operate so you have replacements on hand. I rarely need more than a minute to measure out my food before I shut it back off but it's still good to know it's not an energy vampire.
