Worst money I have spent
Pursuit C6May 26, 2017
it did not last even a month at home. Still trying to recharge. Worst money I have spent, get the cheaper ones, they are still working.
The problem lies on the USB port.

The problem is the USB port. I bought this scale on February 2016 and it worked and charged fine ( no way does the battery last for 80h, by the way, maybe 40 or less hours). Then I noticed that the usb Port was not connecting properly. This problem has gotten worse. Now I need to spent 5 minutes or more to find the right position where the charger plug will enter the usb port the right way so the led will light green and charging will go on. Contacted Hario, and they told me the scale can not be serviced ( its a use it throw away thing apparently) and asked me for proof of purchase, which I have of course. Lets see if they will replace the scale. Anyway I would never again buy this model.
Hate it

Didn't appreciate the fact that it didn't come w batteries, very difficult to. Charge and use. I hate it I threw it away and bought another one that works on batteries. $$ out the door
wouldn't recommend.

I too had problems charging the scale and keeping it charged. I returned it, wouldn't recommend.
Charging Technology Apparently Not Ready For Primetime

Ughhh, this thing. I have such a love/hate relationship with it. I purchased this Hario Stainless Steel V60 Drip Scale to replace an aging generic scale that I felt like I was graduating from in my pour over coffee routine. I actually had to purchase two. The first one which was a new in box unit came and had marring on it, looking like shelf wear. I immediately sent it back. The second unit, a used like new unit, was actually perfect looking cosmetically.

The first few days were perfect. The scale is a little finnicky when it comes to adjusting to your weights so always give it a second as there seems to be a little delay between when you add weight and when it registers. The timer works well but again sometimes needs a second push to get it going. The build seems nice and study and the top is covered in nice stainless steel. The charging port is on the back fo the unit and consists of a standard microUSB port. This is where the problem lies.

On about the fourth day of owning it, the scale died. It had been charged fully on the first day, which was hard to determine considering there is only a miniscule led on the back of the unit that tells you when it is charging. On the fourth day, I went to make coffee in the morning and NO DICE. The scale wouldn't power on. I grabbed my USB cord and plugged it in and it came on right away. I grabbed my backup scale and let the Hario charge for about 5 hours. That evening, I grabbed the Hario and put it back on the counter. I pressed the power button and the scale immediately started blinking and the lights were dimming and getting brighter... it looked like it was having an electronic aneurysm. I turned it back off and waited a minute or so and tried again and it came right on. I made a batch of coffee and forgot about it until the next day. The next morning I was able to make coffee again, but then around 5PM the day after it had been charged for 5 hours, NO DICE. Scale would not power on at all. Lately I have been still using it but I have to keep a USB cord plugged in at the go to get it to turn on when I find it has no power. I almost wish at this point that Hario would have just made it AA battery powered.

As much as I want to like it, I will be returning it and probably checking out something like an Acaia or Brewista.
