Product review states will fit a mossberg 88 with no problems ,but the grove for the nut was not in alignment with hole on the gun. It did fit the gun and had no other issues with quality of the product , maybe I just received a defective one. .

Perfect solution for mounting a scope on a Maverick 88.
Pros:
No Drilling or Tapping
Seems rock solid
Aluminum is nicely finished
Raises a Red Dot up to the proper height (especially if using an aftermarket stock that prevents proper cheek weld)
Cons:
Will scratch your receiver, so have a plan
All in all a good buy. It certainly upped the confidence factor for flinging slugs down range when coupled with
Field Sport Red and Green Reflex Sight with 4 Reticles
It is nice to be able to still use the front bead by looking through the mount.
Pros:
