Fiddling with the sight and looking for helpful information led me to discover that I may not have stripped the screw, simply twisted it past it's useful threads. I think I have it back in place now, tightened down the set screw and it feels tight. Will take it to the range soon and see if it holds up. Leaving it at three stars for a variety of reasons... not the least are the two different set screws for windage and elevation (one tiny flat head screw, one 1.5mm allen). If it holds up to a day at the range, I'll add a star.

I've bought this a little over a year ago for my AR, but for a variety of reasons, have yet to shoot with it. While doing routine cleaning/maintenance today, I put in a new battery and noticed the dot was no longer lined up with my iron sights. Grabbed an allen wrench to bring it back in line, and before I knew it, the adjustment screw was stripped. Not sure what happened to knock it out of alignment in the first place, but that adjustment gear must be made of thin aluminum or plastic/nylon to be so fragile.

Good beginner sight value for close range. Be aware, no auto shut off. If you leave it on and allow the battery to drain down, the led element will burn out! I left the unit on green and burned out the green LED. Red still works.

I wanted a small, lightweight optic for my 10/22 Takedown and this seemed like a decent choice for the money. It is easy to pick up the target, stays aligned, and works well in full sun. Arrived on time and in good condition. My neighbor wants one for his lever action .45 after I showed it to him.
