Great for the Walther MP5 series
bcruz729•November 16, 2016
Received the mount and they appeared to be very sturdy. Mounted them to my MP5-A5 and MP5-SD (both Walther) and they fit perfectly. Only giving them 4 stars at this time because they haven't been tested for zero. Taken out to the range 1x and put a few magazines through. Seems to work great. Would recommend at this point

Not Sure how to rate this
Dennis Pechek•August 26, 2016
Not sure how I should rate this product..
The good: (5 Stars)
It mounted to my HK MP5 A5 22LR without an issue. Didn't over tighten the screws, just firmed them up (1/4 turn past the point where the rail claws quit rattling loosely) and the rail is solid. No need to use a Dremel on this one as it lays flat across the receiver. 22 LR isn't likely to loosen anything up either
A thumb screw or Allen wrench type scope mount works fine with this rail.
The bad: (1 star)
The rail size is not mil spec. It's a bit smaller and doesn't allow the use of an ARMS quick release scope mount. When mounted and the lever is locked down, the scope mount moves a bit front to rear and wiggles just a hair.side to side.
This same ARMS mount when placed on an AR 15 w/ mil spec rails, locks up and is solid (no movement at all).
So I'll split the difference w/ three stars.. $20 isn't a lot of money if you plan on running a thumbscrew or Allen wrench scope mount..
I may just run the cheap red dot I bought here.with the Allen wrench lock down for a while and then spring for the $90 mil spec rail from HK Parts..

MP5 Optics rail
John R. Lowry•August 9, 2016
Good hardware and fit and finish. Takes some time to get aligned with the barrel plane of the firearm, but seems rock solid after final tightening. Mounted a reflex red dot and quick to zero, no movement.
Good buy for the price, if you have one of the older roller-locked firearms without the -1913 rail for optics mounting, it's hard to get a good solid mount. This fits the bill, and is a better choice than the pinch type mounts. .
