I read where others say it sounds like a duck, that's because they don't know how to use it. If you blow to hard it does sound like a duck but if you blow easy and in short breaths it sounds exactly like a pig. I know what a pig sounds like I lived around pig farms. Would buy again and recommend this item except don't let it get in the hands of your grandson he'll drive you nuts.

My buddie traps hogs and has 3 in this big ace horse trailer and I wanted to see their reaction when I made the call. I went up away from down wind so they couldn't smell me and I made the call bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bu-bur-bu-bur-bu-bur and so on. All the pigs in the horse trailer got real excited and started making grunting sounds themselfs. I'm going on a hunt in two weeks I'm confident it will work good and I'll update this review. If you make a big cup with both your hands on the end it sound like a big pig with big slow steady breaths. Fast lil breaths with one hand cupped over the end sounds like a lil piggy.
