I had one like this for 15+ years and cats chewed the wire. This one works just as well - just a tap for 3 levels + off. Even though I have it tucked under the edge of desk, the cats do turn it on occasionally...still, I love it (I did conceal the wire this time)"¦

The lowest setting flickers for about 3 seconds before it lights up. I have an older exact model on another lamp and it works fine. I've swapped the 2 and it's this new one.

Love, love, love these. We have 4 table lamps (2 in bedroom) equipped with these. Great for adjusting light levels. Family members like to receive them as Christmas stocking stuffers and always want to know where to get more.

I bought this for an old antique style lamp I have where you would just touch it and it turned on. That feature stopped working and I thought I'd have to get rid of the lamp, but i found this and it solved my problem. It does the same thing except I know touch the round disc.

Works great for on/off. I put it on a led lighted tree and it does not dim but it does turn it on and off and that is much better than having to unplug and plug it in.
