Exceptional Kohler quality in a great looking faucet
Gary Goodnow✓ Verified Purchase•September 21, 2023
This is a review of the K-10412 CP. Amazon delivered product on time and well packaged, although Kohler packaging was outstanding. No parts missing so the plumber was able to install very quickly and according to him it was an easy install. He did comment on the overall quality of the faucet including both the faucet valuing (ball valve for water control) and the escutcheon (3 hole cover plate), which fit very snugly to sink. Even I could tell this was a very high quality product and the more I use it the more evident that becomes.
It looks great with a modern design and good 6" spout height sufficent to allow easy filling of pots and pans. This, and a 9" reach and along with the nearly 180 degree swivel of the spout, makes it easy to cover most of the entire sink. And of course the sides spray will allow you to hit areas spout does not reach. I'm not sure about some of the comments on the spray - it is chrome like the faucet, very well made with a solid base that securely holds the sprayer. Very nice. I particularly like the faucet lever which is fairly long, very elegant looking and most importantly, makes control of both water temp and flow a breeze. And the precise control is due to the valuing mechanism which is just tight enough but not too tight so you can adjust lever very easily. I love that part of it the most, and frankly, that is the primary fuction of a faucet - water flow and temp.
Detailed instructions were provided although the plumber didn't need them it appeared, but for a novice, they would have come in handy. Overall, I'm highly impressed with this product and it feels like it will be a beautiful addition to kitchen for many years to come. I highly recommend.

Love this faucet

This replaced an identical faucet which we loved. So glad to find it in Amazon.
Nice looking faucet with good features, but has a problem ( which is now basically solved).

UPDATE: 1/26/2021
In my review below, I recommended using two weights, instead of one weight, so the spray head will click into place better. That definitely helps. However, yesterday we added one more weight, and it is even better. So with a total of three weights, the spray head clicks right into place with a strong hold and doesn't fall out anymore at all. I am now very happy with my faucet!
I like this faucet, and it is nice looking. The main reason we bought this faucet is that it has a toggle where you can set it to spray or stream as you wish. That way, if you have it set to spray, when you turn the faucet off and then back on again, it will stay on the spray function. It is almost impossible to find a faucet that will do this anymore. Most other faucets will revert back to stream every time you turn it off and then back on again, and I hate that.
The one big problem this faucet has (as also seen in many other reviews), is that the spray handle doesn't fully and securely click back into place after using it. This makes it fall out easy by just touching it. This is extremely annoying! Plus, it doesn't look good when it's not seated correctly. I called Kohler about this problem shortly after the faucet was installed, and they sent me a new plastic faucet insert to try. That didn't do a thing. Plus, the old insert was almost impossible to remove and broke as my husband was removing it.
Well, over a year has now gone by, and the problem just keeps getting worse. So, I called Kohler again. This time the gentleman said he would send me an additional hose weight to see if that helps. It came today, and it isn't the type that opens to install around the hose. The faucet has to be uninstalled in order to put the weight on. As my husband was spending a lot of time uninstalling the faucet, I called Kohler to find out if there was a simpler way. The very nice customer service lady I talked with told me that the only way to put the weight on the hose was to uninstall the faucet. However, she said that her husband didn't want to uninstall their faucet, so he just attached the weight to the hose with a zip tie. I am so glad she suggested that! I wish we would have thought of that in the first place and saved ourselves a couple hours of work. My husband stopped the disassembling process, put the faucet back together, and attached the weight to the hose with a zip tie - so much easier! He actually used three zip ties, because the weight fell off with only one zip tie. Now, the spray handle sits much better and doesn't fall out as easily - problem solved! It is not perfect, but is MUCH better. So, using two hose weights instead of one really helps with the problem. If you decide to use two weights, instead of asking Kohler to send you one of their weights that require the faucet to be uninstalled, I would highly suggest that you spend around $12.00 and get a weight that opens up and clamps around the hose. ...or you can do what we did with the zip ties.
One other note - the Kohler customer service reps I have spoken with have all been very nice and helpful.

Good Choice For A Pull-out Faucet With High Clearance
FL Reader✓ Verified Purchase•August 23, 2023
Install 6/10/2022 was easy. Clear Directions. 1 screw on retainer with 2 Phillips screws and 3 hose connections. One problem - water supply lines were to short at about 23" - needed 12" extensions for $6 each (at Home Depot--Brasscraft 3/8 in. Compression x 3/8 in. O.D. Compression x 12 in. Braided Polymer Faucet Connector -- there is a Youtube Video that explains this and recommends this part). Then instead of using the supplied pull-out hose weight I reused the pull-out hose spring from my old faucet - no weight to rattle around or get stuck and better pull back. Faucet construction appears to be all metal as per specifications. Would have given this 5 starts but the 1.5gpm water volume is just satisfactory - would be 5 stars if a higher flow volume.
buttons fall off
Amazon Customer✓ Verified Purchase•August 16, 2023
As you can see in my photo, the button fell off, and kept falling off until one day we didn't notice and it was lost permanently. Kohler wants over $100 for Part Number: 1346768-VS, the entire spray kit.
6/19/2023 Kohler support emailed me an they are mailing me a free new spray kit.
