I just received this order. I am going to give it 5 stars because this is a replacement for my Granada Swiss Gear case which was an excellent case. It was very functional, and looked good and I liked it very much.. The Granada was damaged by an airline when gate checked on a regional flight. So the fact that I replaced it with the same brand and similar design is testament in itself.

The Patriot case is exactly like the Granada but has an extra pocket. I originally got this case because I carry my personal 17" laptop and a company 15.5" laptop as well as an ipad and other accessories. The Granada held my 17" laptop in the large pocked advertised to hold overnight clothing and it worked great for me. The Patriot has an extra pocket that hold my 17" just perfectly and now I actually can put some clothing in there too. It is a little thicker but I think it's going to work just great. I'll amend this once I've made a couple flights

Plenty of space and lots of organization. The carry bag is a nice feature and the items seem well made. The bag rolls very smoothly. Unfortunately, this is really one for a 15" laptop. You "may" be able to squeeze in a 17" laptop but I would check the measurements very carefully. I have an HP ZBook and it would not fit into any of the compartments. Besides that one drawback, it is a nice bag. I will be returning it for a larger one.

I was expecting this to have more room than it does, but still a great purchase.
I do wish the wheels were bigger so you could easily roll over little rocks or branches. I walk between a half a mile to a mile from my car to campus and that involves going through all sorts of pavements, streets, rocky roads... So bigger wheels would be ideal.

Anyway, still a great product. I can fit MAX: 1 Big textbook, Laptop, 2- 1 inch binders, a 5 subject spiral, 2 folders, a planner, pen/pencil pouch along with other office/school supplies, keys, and even a water bottle.

This is the third of this bag we have bought in the last 12 years. That may not sound great, but he really is brutal on these things. It protects his electronic equipment great.

Yes he totally overloads it and eventually either the handle or a wheel gives out. But that is only after around 4 years of brutal day-in/day-out use.

Was so happy to find this one on Amazon, huge price break over the office supply store.

Pros:

Not to heavy.

Cons:
Some of the pockets in the front pockets are small and too deep
I travel with a lot of small attachments and snacks, it would be nice to have more closable pockets in the rears section in which to store them in an orderly way so that don't get dumped out by the TSA when they inspect.
No shoulder strap or a place to attach a 3rd party strap.
