Not the best meter out there for sure but the price was very good. I was able to get my satellite dish back on target without calling a repairman which means money saved.

Works for single satellites
When I got a 5LNB Dish, it was more or less useless after the first satellite, without buying an expensive splitter that they don't seem to make anymore...

Does Not Work

Does not work, not sure if my unit was a faulty unit or not. Followed the directions and set dial half way showed 0 on meter. Took coax splice out of coax next to 18" DirecTv dish that is fully working with a 98% signal strength and inserted meter, making sure the side marked LNB was plugged into LNB and the other plugged into receiver, once plugged in light came on the meter and showed 0 on meter. Turned dial up and meter did go up, unplugged cable attached to the LNB side of the meter and the meter was still where it was with the LNB totally disconnected. Went through the setup again to make sure I did everything correctly and the result was the same. Shipped meter back for a refund.
Don't hesitate! This will make your job so much easier!

Wonderful little gadget that made the installation of a replacement LNB a breeze and took only 10 minutes. For the money, this purchase was a no brainer! We followed the tips others had put in the comments and we had our new LNB up and running in no time at all. Will never be without this valuable and very affordable piece of equipment on these types of jobs again! Very easy to use, even for a DIY homeowner!

This meter was the least expensive of those offered on Amazon, but did an amazing job! I mounted a new satellite dish and using rough measurements got a good picture right off the bat. But using the meter allowed me to go from 80% strength to over 97%. The picture looked the same, but what will be the significance is when there is heavy weather in the area, I expect the picture to not fade away. Two unexpected bonuses: maybe it was in the description, but I missed it. The meter lights up when connected AND there is sound which increases as you adjust for best signal strength. It made the alignment job a complete breeze.
