I use one of these at the cable line-in to the house when adding MoCA adapters to get network and internet over existing coaxial cable. These are not needed for FiOS customers that have fiber-in to the house that is then transmitted over coaxial. Only for cable customer that get there signals from copper cable in.
Great filter!

Does its job, prevents my MoCA network from getting out but DOES NOT affect any Comcast Signals not even from an X1 box or the Internet itself or their Xfinity Home.

This device is awesome. We wanted to set up a MoCA network to run our TiVo Minis and this little piece of equipment was the key to making it work. No more connection troubles with our Minis!!
Made my Tivo Bolt able to be the bridge for a MOCA network at home.
Perini Scleroso•December 31, 2016
I bought a new Tivo Bolt, which has a built in MOCA adapter, and I wanted to use the MOCA network to connect my older TIvo Premiere to the Internet so I could stop using the slow and unreliable powerline adapters I was using for it. I bought an Actiontec Ethernet to Coax Adapter for the Premier to do this, but I could never get the network to function. After doing some reading I bought this MOCA POE filter and added it to my coaxial cable right as it came into my house from the pole (Comcast) and BAM the MOCA network started functioning right away. If you try everything and can't get your MOCA network to work, and don't have a POE filter, add one.
You NEED this to complete your MoCA network for TiVo!! And it works great!

Putting in TiVo is worth the time, but getting the remote Tivo "Mini" to work requires either a hard-wire CAT5 ethernet cable (all the way from your router to your bedroom...which was impossible in my old house due to thick walls and distance) OR a MoCA network. So I got all the coax cables going to the right place and added this filter...and still had to have Time Warner come out to get the Tuning Adapter levels for FDC and RDC to between +/- 5 dBmV. BUT, not that all of this is done, and the MoCA POE filter is a KEY component, it works like a champ!! Love the TiVO!!
