Nicely balanced and works well as a thrower

Purchased this as a throwing tomahawk mainly and it does the job.
Seems fairly well balanced and I was able to stick it into a dead tree about 80% of the time my first time using it once I got the distance/rotation/release figured out (that only took a half dozen practice throws).

Sharp out of the box and I've used this for clearing low branches in my woods as well as cutting down small trees. It works as a throwing axe but just be careful since it is not full tang (Eventually where the axe head and handle meet might become loose, though I have not had that issue yet. The only thing that has worn down on this is the included sheath. It has a little belt loop that I would use to keep the axe on my hip, but the loop has frayed to the point where it broke. Other than that it's a great product. It's small and lightweight to the point where I keep it strapped to a bug-out-bag when I'm not using it.

Boy do I love this tomahawk. I've bought two of them and am very happy thus far. Only problem is that the metal band wrapped around the top to help secure the head to the handle is starting to show some wear in the back. The metal has split and a jagged edge is sticking out. The worse the split gets, the more the head shifts some when pulling the axe out of a log of wood.

This one came recommended for beginners, and after a few weeks throwing it I can recommend it as well. Find some tutorials on youtube and you'll be hitting the target pretty consistently your first night. As others have noted, the tomahawk does not have a full tang. The head is fastened to the handle with two screws and will loosen up enough to rock slightly after being banged around a bit. I'm not deducting any stars because it doesn't affect throwing at all, and it's still holding together after all the abuse I've subjected it to while practicing.

Just as described......I have used it to build a very rustic looking pergola to distress the wood a little. It is holding up great. It is very light and feels unbalanced when you swing it cold but when meeting the object your striking, it feels solid. I chose this over the Estwing because I want to be able to carry it hiking and camping and that is all about weight management.
