Good size (15 lbs) for me. Doesn't take up much room. My dog has an allergy to dust and storage mites, & I buy large bags of dehydrated raw food - hoping this container will cut down on the storage mites that inevitably work their way into his food - but who knows if that will work. It's the best prevention I can think of anyway. I've bought a few of these bins over the years (big ones - for large bags of kibble) & was always happy with them. Dehydrated raw foods don't require such large containers. Mine arrived in perfect condition - no cracks. The ones I had previously lasted for years & no cracks on them either.

I have had a dog get into a plastic container and eat himself sick twice. This container is great. I also bought the 40lb to hold the bulk of the 40lb bag in the garage and this one fits under the kitchen cabinet nicely. Kind of pricey but no edges for a dog to get their teeth in and gnaw away at. I have 2 of these since I have some dogs on senior food and the young one on adult. My only complaint is one came with a slightly stretched rubber gasket that falls off sometimes. No I havent emailed the company to see if they would send me one its not that bad and still seals well.

I've bought many containers with the Vittles Vault line in many sizes. They are really waterproof since I keep my feed outside and it can rain on them all day without a drop getting into the container. Mice season is here with enthusiasm and I can't even find any markings on this containers. Keeps my dogs for fresh like the day I opened the bag every time I open the container. Dog, cat, chicken, all feed does go stale as quick as our food and if I won't eat stale food, why should my animals. Also, fresh food makes their tummies and overall health better and the eggs my chickens lay a lot healthier for me.

I got these are some weevils infiltrated my previous dog food Rubbermaid containers and I realized I needed to spend a little more if I never wanted to have to de-weevil my house again. I'm torn in this review-- for airtightness and qualify of the product, this container gets five stars. It absolutely doesn't hold a 25 lb bag of dogfood--not even close. My 17lb bag of dogfood filled it up and overflowed it a little.
Do yourself a favor and size up to the 40 lb container. The 40 lb container holds a 25 lb bag of food with some room.

We have a larger breed dog, who doesn't eat a whole lot. I didn't not want to have 40 pounds of dog food sitting around for a long time. I decided to buy her the small dog version of the food I had chosen (Kirkland) - which comes in 20 pound bags.
This container will hold nearly the whole 20 pound bag of small kibble food. The remainder of what would not fit in the 15 pound Vittles Vault, fit in a 1 pint ziplock bag.
Worked out EXACTLY the way I had hoped! Quality product!
