I have several of those tag holders (same brand) and this is the first time I've gotten one that was too short (and thick!) to wrap around a 1" collar. Three layers of strapping?? It's well made but maybe wasn't sewn correctly.

While it would be easy to use tag holders that quiet the jingling noise, I like keeping my dogs tags separate from their collars and teeth while they're playing. The bands fit perfectly around the collar bands and I like that I can keep their tags with their travel bag.

I ordered 2 types of tag holders for my dog and this is the one I prefer. I like that it attaches securely around my dogs collar and hold her tags closer to her body. I had attached her tags to the link for her collar using a round ring and it allowed too much movement and competed with her leash when it was attached. This tag holder has a very secure snap (and my dog plays very hard!). The tag comes in multiple colors and the purple matches nicely with her color. I am very happy with this purchase. I would upload a picture, but can't seem to find a way to do it on my iPad.
My only disappointment in my purchase has nothing to do with the product. I thought shipping was high for such a small item. The tag-it cost only $2.52, but shipping cost $5.14. the other one I bought was eligible for free shipping, making this feel even more expensive.
